All Back (Triology of Up 2 You && She Ain't You)

The Wedding Part 1

Alexis

Today is the day I make it official with none other than the man I love. I was beyond nervous and the butterflies in my stomach weren't really helping. I had my maid of honor, Key and some of my close cousins for my brides maids.

"Oh my God Alexis! You look so beautiful." My cousin Jasmine said after my cousin Melinda finished the touch ups on my hair and make up.

"Thanks. So do you." I smiled.

"You nervous?" Key asked.

"Very. I've dreamed of this day for the longest and it's finally here." I said reminiscing.

"You'll be fine. The man you love is gonna be out at that alter waiting to give you his vow that you are his life." Key said.

"We just came a long way." I said thinking about all me and Chris been through.

"You don't have cold feet do you?" Jasmine asked.

"No. I'm gonna go through with this." I smiled. The door opened and in walked my Daddy with CiAira.

"You look pretty Mommy." CiAira said.

"Thanks baby. You look very beautiful yourself." I said fixing her hair.

"Hey beautiful." My Dad said smiling at me. "Goodness if only your mother could see how beautiful of a young woman you've became." He said smiling. "I know she's proud of you baby girl." He said as he pulled a box out his pocket. "I'm pretty sure she'd want you to wear this today." He said pulling out a necklace.

"Was this her's?" I asked as he put it on me.

"Yes. She wore it the day me and her got married. She said she wanted you to wear it the day you got married." He said stepping back and taking a look. "This young man is very lucky to marry you." He said as I admired the necklace.

"Uncle Al, your tie is messed up. Can I fix it?" Melinda asked walking over to us.

"Sure. Don't wanna look bad in the wedding." He said as she re-did his whole tie.

Chris

I was anxious, but more nervous. Today is the day that changes my life forever. It could be the start of something good. I never really thought I would be where I am at today. Living in Atlanta, having kids, being with one woman. I'm tying the knot today. August 25th. I'm ready. I'm ready for it all.

"Yo Chris. You ready?" Deon asked walking in.

"Just about." I said looking at my watch.

"Look man. Today is the day. You got this. You got the girl and stay positive. Everything gonna be okay." Deon said patting me on the back.

"That's why you my brother." I said dapping him up. "Where's Mike?"

"Out in the hallway with one of those girls."

"You got the ring?"

"Yessir." He said popping the box open. "Damn! This is fly."

"Keep your voice down." I said looking at him.

"My bad. How much this cost?"

"Bout 50 thousand." I guessed.

"This too fresh to be 50 thousand man." He shrugged.

"I need a blunt or something." I said.

"Nigga calm down. You about to get married and you know how Lex would be if she smelled weed on yo ass." He said.

"I feel so tense."

"Don't trip man. Everything will be all good." He said as Mike walked in.

"Yo man. It's time." He said.

Everybody took their place as the music started which was my cue to walk out. I walked down the aisle to the alter with the minister and waited for the grooms and bride's maids. Deon walked out with one of Lex's cousins. I know he was uncomfortable. Ol girl was all on him. Next was Michael and Lex's other cousin. After that it was Tiny and his girl that came down and last but not least, Key. Then down the aisle came DeAndre, he was holding the rings. My nephew looks fly in his little suit, and then.came CiAira and Marshall. CiAira was tossing the flowers on the floor and Marshall was holding up a piece that said Mr and Mrs. I looked up as everybody stood and was amazed by the beauty I was seeing. There stood Alexis and she is just breath taking.
