Chapter 6
Josh and I decide to make dinner. He asked me to stay the night and I agreed. I don't want to leave anyways. Josh wraps his arms around my waist from behind and pust his head on my shoulder. I smile and press my back against him.
"Smells yummy." He says kissing my cheek. I lean back and smile.
"It's just pasta." I speak and he smiles.
"I know." He says nuzzling his face into my neck.
I laugh and elbow him for him to move. He lets go of me and I go and strain the pasta. Josh leans back against the island counter as I place the pasta in a bowl and put a sauce on it. He grabs a fork as I grab the chicken thats already made from the oven. I put the chicken on a plate and turn around to place it next to the pasta. Josh has already started eating the pasta and I put my hand on my hip.
"Josh!" I whine. Placing the chicken next to the pasta. He didn't even bother to get a plate. He just ate stright from the bowl.
He grins with a mouth full of pasta and continues eating. I grab two plates from the cabinet and bring them over to the table with two cups also. Josh brings over the food and I sit down immediatley filling my plate with pasta. Josh pours me some coca-cola and himself some also.
"So how was your day?" Josh asks while taking a sip of his soda.
I finish chewing and put my fork down wiping my mouth with a napkin, "Great you know." I laugh sarcastically. It was a good day because me and Josh got back together but the whole Claudia thing just made me sick. It gives me headache thinking about it.
He just shakes his head and smirks. "Well my day was amazing."
"Good." I resume eating and he pours himself another glass of soda.
"The swelling went down on your cheek." Josh notices, scanning the area around my cheek. I bring my hand up to my cheek and can feel it has. "But the bruising is still around your neck..I'm so sorry."
He frowns and I close my eyes. "It's fine Josh, really. Look we are together arent we." I smile and he looks up at me.
"Yeah, I guess your right. And this dinner you made is amazing. Thanks." He gets himself another piece of chicken and I mentally pat myself on the back for the dinner I have made.
A loud banging comes from the front door and I shift in my chair. Josh turns his head and the banging stops. He shrugs and looks at me.
"I don't kn-" The banging noise comes again but louder this time. Josh throws down his fork and gets up from the table. "I should check what that is." He sighs and walks out of the room.
I decide to start cleaning up. I grab grab Josh's plate, mine, and the glasses and bring them to the kitchen and put them in the sink. I decide to wash them instead of putting them in the dish washer since there is only a few dishes. After a minute of washing I hear yelling coming from the front. Shutting the sink off and I make my way over to the hallway to try and hear what is happening.
"Get out! This is my house you shouldn't even be here!" Josh screams.
I don't hear the other person so I make my way to the end of the hallway to the front door to see who it is. Once I do I stop dead in my tracks and stand there frozen. Why?? I silently scream to myself. Haven't I dealt with enough.
"Let me at her!" Claudia rages trying to push past Josh.
I jump and back away a little. "Why is she here?" I say softly not making eye contact Claudia. I can feel her eyes burning a hole through my skin but I try to focus on Josh.
