Chapter 8
My mom walks back into the hospital room with the nurse. And my dad took Josh with him to go sign my release forms. The doctor walks in and also does some regular checks to make sure I am fine.
"Only have to take your blood and you are free to go." The doctor smiles and pats your theigh. You groan and plop down on you back against the bed. My dad and Josh walk in laughing and I sit up in the bed. Josh sneaks a glace at me and I smile shyly. My dad pats his back and takes his seat again where he was. The nurse wraps rubber around my upper arm and I hold it out. Josh sits next to me and takes my free hand in his.
"Did I tell you about the time on set that I tripped over someones foot and fell face first in a platter full of doughnuts." Josh smiles and I laugh. He rubs circles on the back of my hand.
"All done!" The nurse chirps taking off her gloves and throwing the needle in the waste. She puts a bandaid on the puncature that was made on my skin. "You can leave now Elise." She smiles and walks out with the little tubes filled with blood.
"Josh said he would take you home" my mom cuts in as I get up out of the bed. My dad nods and they both walk out of the door.
I look over to Josh and throw the pillow from the bed at him, "You distraced me from the needle!" He smirks and nods. I smile at him and he hands me my clothes.
Josh and I have gotten use to changing in front of each other already. It's like we are a married couple. I take off what the hospital gave me to wear and put on my jeans followed by my shirt. Josh walks over to me and grabs my waist with his hands. I adjust my shirt and he whispers in my ear.
"I'm so sorry this happened." His voice cracks as he holds me close to him.
"Josh its fine," I hold his cheek with my hand. "I'm fine." I say again trying to soothe him.
He nodded his head and grabbed my hand entwining his fingers with mine. "Lets leave." He says before we walk out the door.

I sit at the booth as Josh goes over to grab the food that is finished. I rub my head because it hurts but the doctor prescribed me medicine to help reduce the pain. Josh sits back down in the booth and puts the tray out in front of him. We were both hungry so we decided to stop at McDonalds.
"I haven't had McDonalds in awhile." I smile grabbing my burger off the tray and Josh already has taken a bite of his.
"I had this last week." He smiles with a mouth full of food. I just roll my eyes and take a bite of the burger. Josh thought it was a good idea to share fries so we did but he already ate half of them.
"I think some fans spotted us." He lifts his head up to motion for me to look. I look behind my back and see a few teens with their cameras out flashing pictures. One of them waves and I wave back.
I finish my food and Josh throws away the trash. As we are walking out the teens mobbed us and cameras flashed in our faces. They were screaming asking for autographs and my head was spinning. He signs a few autographs and I nudge him in the arm. "My head is spinning" I tell him. He finishes the last autograph and he grabs my waist pulling me against him as we walked back to the car. I kept my head down as the girls followed us to the car. They were banging on the windows once we got in trying to get in as well. Josh started the engine and the girls moved out of the way. He backed out of the spot and drove back home. When I looked back I saw a few girls holding their middle fingers up and stomping off.
"They get pretty mad when they can't get a photo or autograph" Josh says as if he were reading my thoughts. I nod and look out the window. The music plays lightly in the background and I hum along.
It was a short dive only about 15 minutes. We pull up to the front of his house and walk up. He fiddles with the lock of the door with his keys and finally opens it. We walk in and plop down on the couch. Its about 9:00 now. Josh walks back into the room with a glass of water and my medicine. He plops down next to me and I quickly take the medicine.
"Josh, I want to stay here tonight." I yawn as I nuzzle up against his side. He nods and grabs my phone off the table to text my parents. When he is done he puts it back down and wraps his arms around me securely. I close my eyes and listen to the beat of his heart.
Whenever I am with Josh I feel safe. And when I am away from him I feel alone. I never want to loose him again. He kisses my forehead softly and flicks through the tv stations leaving it on a movie that was playing.
"I love you" Josh says stroking my hair. I hate when people do that but when its him, its different.
"I love you too" I say before I let darkness take over me.

I am aware that this is a short chapter. don't hate me. my head is killing me and I wrote this in school. It looked a lot longer on paper.
