Chapter 19
You stand there with your hands clenched. What is she even doing here?! The smile plastered on her face just makes you want to slam the door right in it. You take a deep breathe before talking.
"What are you doing here."
Claudia turns her head to the side, "Just came to visit."
She pushing you aside and walks in examining your new house. She hums and skips down the hallway towards the voices coming from the kitchen. You slam the door shut and stomp down to the kitchen after her. When you get there you see her standing in the doorway and Josh quickly pushing his chair back and standing up.
Katrina looks at you wide eyed and you shake your head. Everyone is over today because it's Christmas of course! You were all waiting for Josh to come home so you could exchange gifts. Plans...change.
You twirl the ring on your finger and Claudia notices from the corner of her eye, "Well, well."
You narrow your eyes at her and everyone but Josh enters the living room. "Claudia." Josh's voice is shakes.
"Hi Joshy." She speaks. The nickname makes you want to puke. Ugh!
Once you think you have your life finally going right there's always something that has to come and drag you back down that hill. It's like you almost make it to the top of the hill but you trip on a rock, and come tumbling down. Or the finish lines seems to keep becoming further and further.
"What are you doing here?" He asks moving towards the monster.
"It's Christmas and I brought presents for a good old friend!" She holds up a bag you didn't even notice and taps your shoulder.
"Friend." You scoff and she shakes her head.
Josh narrows his eyes at you and takes the bag from Claudia's hand, "Come and sit down. We were about to open presents and then eat a dinner."
Claudia walks ahead of both of you two into the living room. You groan and grab Josh's arm before you both go in there. "Why?!" You shriek, smacking his arm.
He flinches and grips the bag, "Shes changed." He says simply and shrugs. "Plus she brought presents."
You turn on your heel and walk into the living room, "She totally changed." You laugh.
As you walk into the living room Katrina grabs your hand and drags you down to sit with her. Josh places down the bag and takes a seat next to Claudia. You brush it off and turn towards Katrina. "I still hate her." You say.
"I don't blame you. I mean like come on look at how shes acting."
You look over at her and notice her flirting with Josh. But Josh is so blind and doesn't notice. The way she licks her lips every time she is done talking and moves closer and closer to him every time she is 'uncomfortable'. Or how she twirls her hair in her fingers.
You boil in anger and Harry lightly rubs your arm. You close your eyes and he tells you to calm down. So to get your mind off of this you say, "Present time!"
You get up and Claudia claps her hands grabbing her bag of gifts. She hands everyone a gift. You actually don't mind the gift she gave you it was a new phone case and was quite cute. You place it on the table and watch Josh open his gift from her.
