TWENTY-EIGHT

From their place in the tree, Vinny and Lynn saw one of the trees go down, their worries getting the better of them.

"Get the others." Lynn said, repeating her words louder when Vinny didn't move.

She herself had had many encounters with creatures both good and bad. But, every time something seemed bad, she expected the worst. Little did she know, this would be her worst.

She didn't bother waiting for Vinny and the others to return before jumping off the tree, landing on both feet, and running to where the fight was.

"Lyndsey Gunnulfsen." Ronnie had a smirk plastered to his face as he circled Lynn, his smirk growing every time she glared at him.

"What do you want?" She spat, her fists balled.

She did expect the worst, but she didn't expect to be ambushed as soon as she approached. Though, it usually did start with that.

"Nothing, really." Ronnie said with a shrug of his shoulders, "Just to kill you all. The less threat, the better."

"Asshole." Lynn mumbled, growling when she was shoved to where her friends were.

"So, you can either willingly die," Ronnie grinned, holding his arms out, "Or you can fight."

"I think we'll fight." Ryan Ashley snit, wasting no time in snapping one of the demons neck.

The others quickly followed her actions, fighting any demon in any way they could.

When Vinny, Alex, Brian, Chris, Angelo, Ryan and Ricky finally showed up, each of them joined.

This was going to be the fight that either broke them, or joined them all together.

Kuza and Ryan both felt bad about their behaviour, so if they could just fight for each other, all would be lost.

After minutes of fighting, Lynn was shoved to the ground by three demons, causing Vinny to take his attention off the one he was fighting and help her.

Just after killing every demon that hurt Lynn, his previous demon had taken the opportunity to stick a broken branch through Vinny's stomach.

Lynn stared with wide eyes as Vinny fell to the ground, his eyebrows furrowed.

She quickly pushed herself off the ground and threw herself at the demon, hitting and punching it until it was dead.

"Hey, hey," Lynn made her way back to Vinny before any other demon could, "We'll get you back to the house, clean you up. You're going to be okay."

Vinny nodded his head, coughing.

Being the only ones strong enough and actually capable, Brian and Alex helped Vinny up and ran him to the house, Ryan Ashley a few paces behind them.

She didn't want to leave her husband and friends, but she was injured and Brian and Alex needed some sort of protection.

Ghost found himself circled by half a dozen demons, no way out and no protection but his hands.

He sighed, mumbling a few things before punching the closest demon, pushing it into another.

Kuza, seeing his boyfriend surrounded, ran to Ghost and helped him, snapping every demons neck in seconds.

"You okay?" He asked, helping Ghost up.

Ghost nodded his head, about to say something before he was kicked to the ground by another demon.
