Hannah woke up with horrible pain in her side. She was in a hospital bed with bandages all over her. She rubbed her head feeling pain there as well.
"Good, your awake." Her mother's voice said.
She went silent, still ticked off with what was said.
"You were hit by a car!"
"Since I experienced it, I think I know that..."
A male doctor came in holding a chart. He wasn't bad looking, looked to be a few years older than herself.
"You were hit pretty hard, the impact broke 3 ribs and you busted open your head. You also have some bruising and your nose was busted. Consider yourself lucky that's all that happened."
Hannah nodded while flinching from the pain and aches.
"We're going to release you after you get something for some pain. I'll fill you out an order for some pain meds." He handed her a piece of paper with his writing on it. When he left a nurse came in and injected her with some pain medicine. While the nurse did so, a police officer walked in. He didn't look too happy to see her as he held a notepad.
"Miss Snow, can you tell me what happened?"
"I was hit by a car."
"Why were you in the road when that happened? The person who hit you said you ran out into the road without any warning."
"I saw something..."
"What was it you saw?"
"I saw the same figure who stole my son five years ago, holding my son's shoulder. I saw my son! He's alive!"
"You were the only one to see these two because the owner saw nothing there. He didn't know why you were running."
"I saw my son!"
"Miss Snow, your son was stillborn. This isn't possible."
"Just leave me alone..." Hannah turned over in the bed to face the window.
"Hannah...please just stop...your acting crazy..." Her mother would sigh.
"Than leave...I want to be alone..."
"I'll let this go since she clearly isn't sane." The officer left.
"Hannah..?"
"I said go! I don't want you here!" Hannah would demand as tears ran down her face.
Her mother would leave silently.
After a few more minutes when everyone had gone, she would get up from the bed and recover her things. While walking toward the hall, the door slammed shut on its own as the room grew dark. Backing up she tripped on a wire and fell on her butt. The same figure who haunted her stood infront of her, he would crouch down where he was face to face with her. Only thing she could make out was his mouth and nose, everything else was veiled in shadow.
"Very persistent." He smirked.
"Where's my son!"
"Who says I have him?"
"I saw you with him today."
"Who says that was me?"
"Because you have on the same hoody!"
"So? Who says I'm the only one who digs black?
"Stop toying with me..."
"Let me put this into perspective, stop looking. You won't find what your wanting and if you continue any further bad things will happen."
"I won't stop until I find my child! He's my baby!"
"Like I said, stop looking." With that he disappeared as the lights came on and the door opening.
"Are you okay, miss?" A female nurse asked who was at the door looking at her.
"Never better." She stood up and walked out of the room.

Now home, Hannah, relaxed on her couch. She was taking an easy so her ribs could heal but she was still baffled by the warning the boy had given her. But why did he take her son and why did he want her to stop looking. All she wanted was her baby back and nobody seemed to want her to have him back. Tears ran down her face from confusion, sadness, and hurt. What was she going to do.
