Luna admired the emptiness of the castle, every last vampire was dead except herself and Hannah. Hannah was drying her eyes and wiping her face of the blood. Lincoln held onto his mother's shirt for dear life not wanting to lose her again.
"So, it's going to be lonely here until more vampires come to join my new family, which you are forever part of even if you don't live here."
"There's more vampires out there?"
"Mhm, once they realize that one of the biggest families are dead, they will start to move into these areas. I may have strays to join or I might have enemies who want eliminate me for my home."
"That's rather cruel." Hannah said sadly, still upset with the demise of Atlas.
"It is, but that's how our ways work. Survival of the fittest."
Hannah nodded while patting Lincoln's head.
"I'm sorry about Atlas, he may not have liked me but he was still one of the nicest vampires around. Are you going to live his lifestyle?"
"I'm not sure, I never had mundane blood before and it exciting to try but I would be hurting innocent people."
"And your a lot stronger with mundane than animal. Atlas had strength with you being on the line. If it wasn't for you, he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did."
Hannah nodded once more.
"What about Lincoln? He going to remain mundane?"
"Most definitely. He's going to be attending school and I can't afford to move everytime a massacre takes place."
"I see."
"Mommy, I'm hungry." Lincoln said tugging on her shirt.
"I know darling. Let's go." With that they started to walk toward the door.
"Where are you going from here?"
"Home, to prove to those idiot family members my son was stolen."
"If things get rough, you always have a home here."
"I know, I'll keep that in mind." With that they both left the castle.

Three months later

Things had finally gotten back to normal. Her family couldn't say sorry enough for their doubts and the hell they put her through when she showed up with a little boy no older than five. Lincoln had finally gotten all color back to his skin, his dark as night hair was kept trimmed in proper cut, he wore regular clothes like shirts, shorts, jeans, nothing like the clothes they had him when he was with Silver and his family. Hannah hasn't completely caught on to her new immortal life. She feeds on animals mostly but she will have a human once in a while. Her eyes stayed a dark crimson due to her diet. So many guys have hit on her since her transformation, from her flawless skin to her long, flowing strawberry red locks and her fit body, she was irresistible. But nobody could replace Atlas, her heart still cried for him and not a moment goes by that he isn't on her mind. But today was different, she wanted to just focus on her son and not be depressed over Atlas.
"Mommy, can we go to aunties house so I can play with the twins?"
"Maybe. But I was thinking a day for just me and you. Movies, icecream, how does that sound?"
"Yes!" He giggled.
Hannah smiled while patting his cheek.

later that night they were waiting in line to get tickets for a movie. Lincoln was all excited, he couldn't help but bounce with joy. They didn't get to do movies very often with money being tight.
Hannah smiled at him but something caught her eye. She caught a glimpse of a young guy with hair as blond as the sun and a build similar to Atlas's. He held the hand of a young girl no older than Lincoln. She turned to look to see them better but there was no one there.
"Couldn't be." She told herself.
"What is it mommy?" Lincoln asked sending his mother's distress.
"Oh nothing, what movie are we seeing?"
