"Maria?" Atlas was in shock seeing his beloved wife standing there.
"Did I forget to mention that your pretty little wife is now part of the undead?" Silver laughed.
"Hello, dear, it's been a while." She smirked through blood stained lips.
"I thought you she was dead!"
"I figure you be delighted to see your wife since its been quite sometime since you seen her last."
"I am, I'm just very shocked.."
"I have missed you, my love." She crouched down and he gazed into her eyes but turned away seeing that get once beautiful chocolate brown eyes are now crimson from an all mundane blood diet.
"Why do your eyes shy from mine? Why are they as yellow as the sun that drains us of power?"
"I feed off animals and supplements, I can't bare taking the blood from a human by force. But I see that's all your diet consists of...the Maria I loved and knew couldn't hurt a fly..." He frowned.
"Dear, people change, I have changed. I enjoy this immortality! I never grow old, I'll never die from the illness that struck me, aren't you grateful?" She tipped her head in curiosity."
"I'm happy the cancer isn't killing you anymore and that your not in pain anymore but tell me, was it worth seeing your own child die?"
She grew silent but smiles innocently.
"What?"
"I didn't particularly enjoy it and trust me, I hated watching her gasp for air when her heart and organs gave out, but she didn't want me... She wanted daddy and that angered me!" She clenched her fist, "I spent everyday with her, a prisoner, and she whispers for daddy in her last breath! When she died, I was free to be by our bosses's side!
"Daddy...oh Phoebe...daddy wasn't there.." He punched the floor in anger.
"She's in a better place now."
"You didn't grieve...you watched our daughter die and you didn't shed a single tear! You were happy she died! Your nothing but a monster in my Maria's skin!" He stood up and walked toward her ready to kill.
" Oh yeah? You kissed another girl, you confessed feelings for another girl when your wife was alive and well! Your no different!"
"I thought you were dead for twenty-three years, I didn't know so your argument is very much invalid." He threw a punch but she caught it and squeezed. He winced hearing cracking. She consumed human blood which made her stronger than himself.
"It's okay, boss took a liking to me. I guess I did the same dirty deed except I went farther than a simple childish kiss." She smirked.
Atlas was now seeing red as he kicked her in the ribs hard enough to send her staggering and the crunching and crushing of her ribs. She winced but did nothing but frown toward him. Atlas bares his fangs as he cracked his knuckles.
"Your temper was always an issue." She chuckled before disappearing.
Before Atlas could react he was punched in the face and than shoved hard to the ground. He tried to get up but was sent flying. He hit the ground and rolled to a stop. He was kicked onto his back and Maria's foot materialized on his chest. She smirked down at him as her eyes glowed.
"Did I forget to mention that she is the strongest female vampire here? She's faster, stronger, and very brutal."
"How? She shouldn't be any stronger than any other vampire that consumes mundane blood." He tried to shove her foot off but it didn't budge.
"She not only consumes mundane blood but she consumes mine as well." Silver laughed.
"She's your queen than?"
This took Luna by surprise as she looked at her father in shock.
"Yes she is. For only a queen is allowed the blood of the head of the clan."
"Father! I'm suppose to be next in line, not that filth! I was born into the vampire world therefor I'm suppose to be the queen next!"
Hannah started to shake off the daze as she rubbed her head. She sat up only to see Atlas being pinned by Maria's foot. She looked at Maria and instantly recognized her from the many pictures Atlas had only she wasn't angelic or had a warm glow about her. She was dark and sinister.
"Your only chance of being queen is if I die and we all know that's not going to happen anytime soon."
"Even in your demise she's now the one to take over! Do I not matter to you!" Luna stood up seething with anger.
"We will discuss this later, enjoy the show."
"No! I'm not going to watch this trampled hurt the only friend I ever had! You figure she have something left in that dead heart of hers for him but I guess once your a vampire your true nature comes out." Luna frowned at Maria.
Hannah looked toward Atlas and felt helpless with the room full of bloodthirsty vampires.
"So all this time I was married to a heartless witch?" Atlas knew Luna's words were true, only the darkest and strongest mundanes become vampires. Him being strong got him the part but he knew for fact Maria wasn't strong at all, therefor she was hiding her true nature from him, she wasn't everything light, she was the opposite.
"Yup, I only married you to get away from my parents. They were everything I wasn't, they were nice, sweet, and loved helping others, it was sickening! Too bad they never knew they had a bad seed for a daughter!" She laughed.
"So you never loved me?"
"Heck no, too much like my family. Than you destroyed my body by impregnating me with that child. Her cries were so annoying and she didn't even like me! It's like her job was to annoy me to the point I was about to snap. You have no idea how badly I just wanted to put a pillow over that little monster's face or drown her in the tub and watch her struggle for breath. The day she took her last breath was the day I was finally free of everything that tied me to my old life."
"Only monster I see is you. No wonder she always wanted me, she was afraid of you!"
"Got that right." She laughed.
"Beauty is only skin deep, I was rather blinded by it or else I wouldn't have married you. Under that flawless skin and pretty face is a creature so ugly only a true monster could ever make you happy." He spat.
Maria growled as she picked him up and threw him across the room. Before hitting the wall, Maria appeared infront of him and added force which was so strong that he went through the wall. He coughed blood and struggled to breath.
"I'm not the only monster here and in the end, we both end up in the same place, hell. But you, dear, will be going much sooner." She laughed when straddling him. She pulled out a silver dagger and aimed it toward his heart. But a rock hit her over the head but it didn't phase her, only caught her attention.
"Get your filthy hands off him!" Hannah yelled while standing and holding more rocks.
"Or what? Going throw more rocks until I get a headache?" She laughed.
"You will pay either way."
"Oh please, what is a weak little mundane like yourself going to do to a vampire queen?" She got off Atlas and turned to face Hannah. She wore a black tank that showed more cleavage than needed and tight dark, blue jeans, and leather boots.
"Oh please, your no queen, just a cold hearted cheater that let her own child die. Might as well have drained her yourself!" But before she knew it, she was pinned by her neck to the wall.
"Don't forget, little girl, your little boy toy cheated on me with you. He's no different."
"He...thought you were...dead.." She coughed.
"Still a cheater." She laughed.
Hannah frowned and than spat on her face.
"Your going to pay for that." With that she went to stab Hannah but she was jerked away, Hannah slumping down and gasping for breath.
"Only one paying is you!" Atlas would slam her in the ground.
"That barely phased me." She chuckled while grabbing his arm that grasped her throat.
"Oh I know, just needed you in position to do this." He pulled out a small dagger that was hidden in his waist belt and aimed it over her heart. But he was pulled off her by a strong force.
"Now I can't let you end my queen." Silver would say while throwing against the wall.
He landed hard but he got back up. He felt his energy depleting by the minute and he wouldn't last much longer. Hannah did got up as well but she barely had any strength to keep her standing.
"You know what? Let's see how brave and tough you both are after I kill the one thing that has you both here in the first place! Do you mind honey?" Marie walked up toward the throne toward Silver.
"Not at all, I can always replace him." He pulled Lincoln by his arm from behind the chair toward Marie. She would kneel down to his level but Lincoln was in a sorta trance.
"Mommy won't stop meddling in my fun so I guess the only way to shut her up is to end your life! I know it's sad but hey, it's going to happen soon." She pulled him against her and placed the dagger against his throat.
"Any last words?"
