Chapter 2: The New Life:
Billy awoke to the sweet smell of bacon and pancakes. The rich aroma of syrup and roasted meat stimulated his senses almost to the point of him drooling. Very quickly he got up and went to feast on the delicate feast his mother prepared for him. "What's the occasion mom, it's not my birthday, nor is it Christmas" Billy said with a grin. "We're celebrating Billy" Mama Frasier said, "Your father got a new job in Washington D.C. so we'll be moving there soon". "WHAT?! WHAT THE HECK MOM, I DON'T WANT TO MOVE!" Billy shouted. He knew that he would be leaving his friends and his already conferrable lifestyle, such a change is overwhelming for him. "Isn't this great?" Said Mama Frasier, "now you can leave everything that's near and dear to you behind forever, won't that be fun? Make some new friends, have a fresh start Billy." Billy didn't know what to think, he already was a shy kid and making friends would be a challenge. There were only four things that made Billy happy: Food, Video Games, Friends and family, and God. With a snarl and a disappointed look, he grabbed his breakfast and stormed to his room in isolation.
Nightfall, the final night the Frasier family spent in their house. Papa came home with a excited look on his face. "Well honey, we're rolling in the green bacon now!" Papa Frasier said. "I have been giving the opportunity of being the new President's personal assistant, I didn't like the guy running again but this is a green opportunity to take advantage of!"
"That's wonderful dear, now how bought some dinner, its spaghetti, your favorite. Are we leaving in the morning?"
"Yes ma'am, tell the boy to pack his things the sooner the better!"
Billy got the news and regretfully packed his things, he found it suspicious that he was going to D.C. let alone having his father as the President's personal assistant. Something was amidst he just knew it, something in his mind warned him.
After saying his good-byes to his friends, a tear was shed across Billy's face as he looked back on the past, watching it grow farther and farther away until it was just a tiny spec in his eyes and to that day, it was stapled to his mind as a memory of remembrance. "Cheer up son." Said Papa Frasier, "think of this as a new start, new friends, new school, and a new, more high society, lifestyle. " Billy just had to face facts, he wasn't coming back, this might as well be the next chapter of his life or better yet a new story altogether. Papa tried to make it up to Billy and said "hey champ, why don't you come to work with me tomorrow, you can learn what I do and when I die, you can take over." "Ok dad, but I don't think I want to go into politics in the near future." Billy said with a firm tone. So that day ended and the next came and soon enough Billy was in the driveway of the Whitehouse. "I gotta admit pops, this is impressive" Billy said with an awe inspired face. Just then Billy heard someone call his name almost in a whisper. Billy looked around and didn't see anyone. He heard it again, this time louder and more violent. Once again he looked and all of a sudden the world around him froze and a man no bigger than him approached him. He wore a black suit with a golden tie and what appeared to be a Crimson cape round his neck. "You are the one, the one, the one, the one who can save us all" the man said. "Evil he is, betray you he will, corruption is spreading. Corruption will consume you; corruption will dine on your soul." He continued "Don't let him corrupt you, stop him, defeat him, remember what I tell you, and don't forget these words." Billy was dazed, confused; what could this mean? How is this possible? "Who are you, I demand you tell me" Billy shouted "How did you stop time? What do you mean I'm "the one", I want answers now dang it". "Walk your own path; you are the one, the one who will save them. You are the one to defeat corruption." The man spoke in a very eerie tone. "I serve a higher authority, an authority that travels form galaxy to galaxy, spreading knowledge to the ones who seek justice, peace, and freedom. Don't forget" Within a single breath the man vanished and Billy just sat there puzzled, he knew at that something suspicious had to be happening now, that or he's loosing his mind. He couldn't tell anyone, no one would believer him so he just accepted it and moved on.
A couple minutes later time resumed and it was as if it never froze in the first place. Billy's dad guided him through the Whitehouse.
"Impressive isn't it?" Said Papa Frasier.
"I guess" said Billy.
"Ready to meet the president? Aren't you excited?"
"I guess" Repeated Billy.
Billy and his dad made their way to the oval office, the place were all the action takes place. Billy was starting to get interested, he's about to meet the president so evidently, he did. Papa Frasier said with a beamed face "Son, it's my honor to introduce you to the president of our nation, President Oliver Orvil." The president smiled, Billy had the suspicion that it was nothing but a fake smile. "A pleasure to meet you Billy, your dad has shared great words about you with me" Oliver said. "I realize if he raised such a fine young man than he'll serve me well with no problems." Later in the day Billy was concerned, what did Oliver mean by "serve me with no problems"? Billy started to think about the mysterious man with the Crimson cape. Is President Orvil the one he was talking about? That's preposterous, how can the president betray him, they would have him impeached if he did anything illegal. Still, Billy was getting a real creepy vibe from him. The tattered suit, the messy short jet black hair, this man didn't look professional rather he looked like a hobo that just gained power. "Why don't you look around, management says you can" said Papa Frasier. Billy agreed and left his dad's office and found himself in the main hallway. He felt like he didn't belong there like he was some rebellious teenage breaking into the restricted zone of the house. Billy stared walking into the bowels of the house not looking where he was going when suddenly he found himself hitting something and falling to the ground. Turns out that "something" was a girl.
Billy just stared at here, she had a white dress with blond-brown hair and upon opening her eyes he noticed that she had luscious green eyes. He was embarrassed by his clumsy act; Billy stuttered then followed up with a cherry red face. "I'm s-s-s-sorry" Billy couldn't even speak right; he couldn't help but think how much of a klutz this girl thought he was. "Hey buddy, you got eyes you know." said the girl "why can't you watch where you're going you almost ripped my dress." She looked up and noticed the cherry red Billy standing before here. She giggled, the kind of giggle girls give when they thing something is cute. "H-h-hi .... My n-name... is (gulp) Billy Frasier." Billy said nervously. He was trying to keep his cool. "I'm s-s-sorry that I knocked you down." The girl giggled again and said "it's alright, you look new around here, my name is Rebecca Chels, I'm an intern here." She paused for a moment and then said "Wait, Frasier?" "Yes, my dad works here" said Billy regaining his confidence. "I get to do work for your dad!" Rebecca said. "President Orvil said I had to help the new guy, turns out the new guy is your dad." Billy said nothing more than "cool" and smiled at Rebecca deep down though he was utterly happy and filled with butterflies. He couldn't tell if it was because he was nervous or he was starting to develop a crush on here. Rebecca gave a smile back and said "You seem like a nice guy Billy, you wanna hang out sometime?" Billy was so happy he could just crap his pants in excitement! Gross yes, but he'd do it, he didn't. Billy said yes with an excited look on his face and Rebecca couldn't help but laugh some more. It seemed like that's all she did in that brief confrontation she and Billy had. Rebecca left after that saying that she and Billy will meet again and broke a smile to him before turning the corridor. Billy felt warm and fuzzy inside.
After that, Billy continued down the hallway looking into room after room, finding nothing interesting when all of a sudden he heard a voice, it sounded familiar and upon going closer to the source of the voice it was without a doubt, Oliver Orvil.
"The pieces are in place; soon everything will be under my control"
Billy went to Oliver's door and overheard his monologue
"Frasier, the poor fool, though he'll have to die, he shall serve me well until then"
He continued. "It took time but I convinced the media to keep quiet and I'm sure they'll continue to do so" He chuckled then he pulled out a device with a giant red button in the middle. Whatever it was, it didn't look nice. Billy sneezed and Oliver looked and shouted "WHO GOES THERE!" He started towards the door getting closer and closer. Billy panicked he had to act fast so without thinking he ran down the hallway as fast as he can and jumped into the nearest room hitting the floor with a loud thud. He heard footsteps, getting louder and louder, his heart was pounding almost like a hammer and slowly the door opened and Billy's cover was broken.
