Wendy and Lucy walked away from the guild, heading somewhere that could keep Lucy safe. A place that could buy her some time while the other members fend off Jackal. The group investigating the burnt village were already on their way back to the guild, but before they did, the Sabertooth guild allowed the villagers to stay with them due to Magnolia possibly not being safe with Jackal being on his way there. Carla had a feeling, it was an awful feeling. Like something horrid was going to happen, or was happening right then. Carla quickly flew down to Wendy "I have a bad feeling, Wendy" Wendy gulped and bit her lip "don't worry about it now"
She whispered back before turning and smiling at Lucy.

"Don't worry, Lucy. We're just heading out to the mountains. Mira thought it would be nice for you to get some fresh air" Wendy hummed cheerfully with rosy cheeks. Lucy watched her feet as the two mages walked further up the path. "Are... you sure that we'll be... okay?" Lucy asked, obvious fear in her voice. "Of course! Mira or Erza will probably catch up with us later on" Wendy answered surely. Lucy simply lets out a sigh and slowed her pace, not at all in the mood for a hike in the mountains. The wind blew softly against their bodies and sent the smell of grass.

Jackal stalked towards the large guild hall, he made sure all buildings were blown to a crisp, along with many bodies of innocent civilians. Jackal just waltzed around like everything was completely normal. Like nobody was screaming in pain, fear and anger. Like the whole town wasn't destroyed. All of this was normal to him, not a single thing bothered him. The sadistic Demon even began to hum a song to himself, in his own creepy tone.

The Fairy Tail mages stood at the front of the guild, waiting for Zerefs creation to come face to face with them. Jackal grinned and snapped his fingers, blowing more buildings up into nothing. "My, what a lovely day it is~" He sang while continuously snapping his fingers and blowing things to bits. 

The large Fairy Tail guild came into view causing him to smirk evilly. "I never did get to visit this place, did I? No, Lil' Lucy kept me at her place most of the time" He began cracking his knuckles when he saw the guild members. "Wow, did everyone ditch this place? why is there such a small amount of you?" He asked, shrugging his shoulders shortly after "No matter, though"

Mirajane glared Jackal down "we won't allow you to get to Lucy" Jackal shrugged once more and stretched his arms "Nah, I'm sure I can find her, I know she's not here sweetheart" Jackal stated mockingly and surprising Mirajane.
"B-But, how did you-!" Jackal quickly cut her off and scoffed "do you really believe I'm that stupid!? I know very well that you would attempt to hide her from me since you knew I was on my way here!" He snapped viciously, baring his sharp teeth at her. Mirajane let out a shaky breath and took a different stance, indicating she was ready to begin the battle.

Jackal snickered, his hand beginning to glow a vibrant yellow, "I'll kill you all" He whispered, blowing up the whole guild in an instant without even trying. The violent attack sent guild members flying in different directions. Jackal began cackling evilly "That was great, guys! The way you all just flew away like ragdolls! Kahahaha!" Jackal waved and pointed his arms in different directions, blowing up the areas the members fell at "heh, looks like that year of training really paid off!. Their screams rung in his ears and he smelt the smoke from the fire. "Wonderful~" He softly whispered as he raced off quickly after Lucy's scent.

Lucy and Wendy had both finally climbed to the top of the hill and were both now relaxing.
"See, Lucy? Isn't it nice to wander about?" Wendy asked with a smile as she stood up to look into the distance. "Yeah, you're right Wendy" Lucy laughed, laying on her back in exhaustion. Carla sat away from both of them as images flashed in her head. "N-no, there's no way..."
