Leo Valdez || Good Night

You and Leo are older in this one and have your own apartment together.

It was the middle of the night when you finally heard the door creak open stirring you from your sleep. You rubbed your eyes tiredly as you swung your legs out of bed, slipped on your slippers, and started walking towards the door. You heard a faint rustling of pots and pans and the closing of a cabinet and you peaked out.

"Come on you stupid thing," Leo said as he stood at the gas stove trying to light it, "light!" His efforts were to to avail and finally he produced a flame on his finger and lit it himself. "Finally," he muttered placing a pot of water on the flame. He then grabbed the package of Ramen he had taken from his "secret" stash. Very slowly he started opening it, cringing at the smallest sounds it made.

You smiled. Even in the dim light you could see his dark curly hair strewn out at random ends and his eyes narrowed with concentration as he slowly tore open the packaging.

An owl hooted outside making him jump and drop the package making ramen fly out all over the kitchen floor.

"Son of a-" he started as he looked up. His eyes locked with yours and he paled. "Heh heh," he said rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly, "hey (y/n). Did I wake you?"

You crossed your arms and leaned against the door frame. "I heard the door creak open and came out." You smiled. "That ramen really got the best of you huh?"

He laughed lightly. "Yeah i guess it did." He knelt down and started cleaning up the noodles.

You chuckled as you pulled out a new package. "Late night at the shop?" You asked opening it and pouring it into the pot.

"Yeah, you could say that. A lady came in with her car about five hours ago and i just couldn't leave her and her kids like that. So I fixed it up for her taking care of all the other things she missed. She tried it out and said that she'd never heard it run that smoothly," he said pouring the noodle casualties into the trash.

"Well you are the worlds best mechanic."

"Well now you're just flattering me."

You smiled as you stirred the noodles. "Maybe. But I'm telling you what. You're dang lucky I was hungry."

"I know." He pulled down two bowls.

You ladles the noodles into the bowls and carried yours out to the living room.

Leo plopped down on the couch with a sigh. "Gods of Olympus I'm so glad to be home."

"I'm glad you're home too," you said sitting next to him.

He wrapped his arms around your shoulders and kissed your cheek.

You smiled contently as you leaned into  his embrace.

The two of you sat on the couch eating your ramen in a comfortable silence just enjoying each other's company.

You rested your head on his shoulder as you started nodding off.

He glanced down at you and smiled. "Hey, (y/n)?"

"Hmm?" You asked looking up at him with big (e/c) eyes.

"Go to bed," he said gently nudging you.

"Too tired," you mumbled burying your face in his shirt closing your eyes.

His chest rattled with silent laughter as he carefully picked you up. He held you close as he carried you to your room. He pulled back the covers and gently laid you down.

You cling on to him tightly with a small smile. "Don't go," you mumbled.

"But dear, I need to get ready," he said trying to escape your grasp.

You reluctantly let him go and turned over pulling the sheets up to your neck.

Minutes later the bed curved in signaling Leo joining you. He turned over so he was facing you and smiled. "Goodnight, (y/n)."

"Goodnight," you responded as you fell into a blissful sleep.

Like honestly people at school never notice me and then I get people on here possibly not even from my country who tell me I'm one of their favorite authors and I can hardly fathom it.
