Leo Valdez || Opposites Attract

Just going to say this now, this is my very first personal imagine. I hope you like it.

He annoyed you to no end, and you were a thorn in his side some times too. But there was something unimaginable about you that made him nuts.

Leo would find himself staring at you sitting with your brother at the mess pavilion.

His little brother, a young boy named Sammy looked up at him. "Who are you staring at?"

Leo jumped at the sudden, tiny voice. "What? Um, nothing! I mean no one."

Sammy followed Leo's gaze and laughed. "Rain? Don't you hate her?"

"Hey! Look, spaghetti!"

"Ooh!"

Truth be told, Leo didn't know how he felt about you. You drove him up a wall, irked him on, drenched his fire with your water, and yet, he couldn't stand being away from you. He was the one to show you around when you first arrived to camp, he was the one to protect you in your very first capture the flag, and he was there when you were claimed by your father, Poseidon.

You were water and he was fire, he should hate you. And yet, he felt a strange pull from you.

As dinner ended he found himself walking toward you. He called out your name. "Rain!"

You stopped and looked back at him, your eyes narrowing. "What do you want Valdez?"

What did he want? He just wanted to talk to you, to be around you, but he couldn't say that. "Um..."

You raised an eyebrow. "If you're done wasting my time, I'd like to go now."

"No! I mean..."

You frowned. "What do you want from me, Pyro."

"Excuse me?" He snapped. "Who you calling Pyro?"

"You obviously." You crossed your arms.

"Well two can play at that game, Hydro." He knew that irked you.

A thin layer of mist swirled around you. "What did you just call me?"

He smirked and twirled his hand making a small flame. "You heard me." He didn't know what the Hades he was doing, he didn't want to fight you, but he didn't have another reason to talk to you.

You balled your fist. "Why do you even do this to me? Why do you just have to annoy me?"

"Well why do you annoy me?"

"I asked you first."

He frowned. "Well I asked you second!" That was lame, Leo.

"What does that have to do with anything?" you demanded.

"What was the question?"

You groaned. "You idiot!"

He smirked. "Not just an idiot, I'm the idiot."

You glared at him. "Just tell me why you keep annoying me."

His face grew red. "You want to know why? Well it's because I can't stay away from you! You drive me nuts, Rain, and I can't get you out of my head! You're constantly on my mind, and I-I love you!"

Maybe that's what this crazy feeling was running through his thoughts. Maybe it really was love. Yeah, that sounded about right.

Three seconds passed by the time both of you had registered what he had just said.

His ears turned bright red.

You stared at him with your mouth slightly agape. "What?"

"I love you, Rain! There I said it." He was growing slightly more confident. "That's the reason I can't stay away from you. Because I-"

You cut him off abruptly by reaching up on your tip toes and pressing your lips against his.

He froze and when he finally had time to respond you had already pulled away.

You smiled up at him with pink cheeks. "I have strong feelings for you as well."

He grinned. "Well I'll take what I can get."

You looked up at him. "Isn't this kinda weird? You're fire, I'm water. Shouldn't we hate each other?"

"I guess opposites attract."

I think that was cute. What did you think infinte_rain ? Was it good? Do you want another one (because that is totally possible)?

This was fun to write although it was so short... Oh well.

OMG THE BRONCOS ACTUALLY WON THE SUPERBOWL! I wasn't watching so it really startled me when I heard the fireworks (which are still going on). I'm not sleeping tonight. XD

I have no inspiration for a good authors note tonight so...
