"Normani....normani....NORMANI"!!?
"Huh"? Normani jumped up from laying her head on desk.
"Victoria needs you in her office, she wants to talk to you about something". Eli said chuckling.
Normani, still dazed from waking up, slowly nodded her head.
Normani had worked as a solo practitioner at the Law Office of Gregory Berry in New York. To say that she is the best in New York is an understatement. Being known as the best is part of the reason why so many men and women have been and tried to be with her.
Normani slowly got out of her chair, stretching while walking to Victoria's office.
"Hey Vic." Normani said half yawning and stretching.
"Fell asleep again"? Vic said chuckling.
Normani had been super tired lately. Part of it being that she just got out of a horrible relationship.
"Yeah". Normani said drowsy.
"How about you just take the rest of the day off." Victoria said.
"Really?!" Normani said suddenly excited.
"Yeah go ahead....get some sleep." She said.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" Normani yelled, hugging her.
Normani walked out as quick as possible. It was after noon so she decided to get some lunch. She decided on Chipotle.
Normani was taking her salad to her seat when she bumped into someone, which resulted in wasting her salad on her chest and stomach.
"Oh my god!" She said gasping.
"Oh my god, I am so sorry!" A girl with honey blonde hair said.
She quickly ran to get some paper towels and came back.
"I'm soo sorry!" She said rapidly rubbing the paper towel over the area where Normani wasted her salad. Then she slowly looked up realizing what she was doing.
"Hi." Normani said looking in her eyes.
"Hi." The blonde said as she smiled.
"I'm Dinah." She said, holding out her free hand.
"Normani." Normani said, shaking her hand slowly still looking in her eyes.
"Sorry!" Dinah said, realizing that her hand was still on her chest and took it off quickly.
"It's okay." Normani said chuckling.
" I should probably buy you another salad huh?" Dinah said.
"No no you don't have to, it was a honest mistake!" Normani said.
"No, I insist! Maybe we could make this a date!?" Dinah said smiling.
Then she slowly frowned as she read Normani's facial expression.
"That's if you want to, I just thought-" She said quickly as Normani cut her off.
"Calm down....I'd like that." Normani replied laughing.
