Chapter 15: The Hospital

Evie's POV.😢💉

"Whaaaaaat????" I screamed.

"Yes I want you to stay with me, we need to figure out what happened between us." Mac replied calmly.

"Ok.......I’ll stay but how are you so calm? You're in a hospital with a sprained ankle, a broken arm, and cuts all over you!?" I said more calmly this time.

"Ehhhh, it's not that bad!" He said.

"Ok well since we covered that.......how about we talk about us" I say.

"Haha you make us sound like a couple!" Mac said through his laughter.

I hit him softly on the head. "You weirdo, that's not what I meant and you know it!" I laughed.

"I know, I know" Mac said. "How about you come sit down and we"ll talk"

He slides over and I clamber on the bed next to him. I make sure he is situated, and then I begin.

"So......how about you tell me why you stopped talking to me I guess" I say awkwardly.

"Um, ok." (A/N the moment you've all been waiting for) "Well, so it was a couple weeks after your 11th birthday and Logan-"

"Wait........LOGAN??????? He's the reason you stopped talking to me??" I screamed again.

"Will you let me finish? As I was saying, Logan told me one day that you hated me and you never wanted to talk to me again. He said you were only friends with me because our parents were friends. He told me you thought I was a stuck up popular idiot and that you were telling people mean things so you could be popular" He whispered the end. "I guess, because he was my friend, I believed him without giving you a chance to say your part" He said.

"Omfg! I'm gonna kill Logan! He told me basically the same thing! That you hated me and you were gonna ditch me for popularity! That was the thing that got to me because on my birthday, you promised I never leave me. I guess I was stupid too! I believed him over my best friend" I half whispered.

"Well, I guess we were both pretty stupid! It's all Logan's fault!! I'm gonna kill that S.O.B! He broke our friendship! I wonder why he did it?........." Mac said.

"Yes, I guess we were stupid! I don't know why he did it............but I will find out!" I say laughing.

"Well, I'm glad we got that sorted out cuz that was horrible!" Mac replied laughing at me.

"Yeah! Now.....so are we friends again? Do you forgive all the things I've said??" I said hopeful he would forgive me.

"Of course I forgive you, well I will if you forgive me as well and yes! We are definitely friends again!" He said happily!

Mac's POV.😅

"We are definitely friends again!" I say happily.

I'm so glad me and Evie are friends again! I really missed her! I missed my best friend. I was crushed when Logan told me that she never wanted to talk to me again! Well, now I have a little lying S.O.B to deal with! I guess I have to let Evie find out what she can first.

Evie's POV.😴

We lay there in silence just enjoying each others company once again. Soon enough, I fell asleep.

Someone shook my shoulder. I opened my eyes to find Halley staring at me with a confused look on her face. I realized it was because I was lying on Mac's hospital bed with his arms around me.

I softly crawled out of his embrace and walked outside the room with Halley.

As soon as we got out, I shut the door and Halley stared at me.

"What was that about? Why are you all comfy cozy now?" Halley questioned.

I told her everything about the accident, Logan, and our new friendship. Then it struck me, "Halley, how did you know Mac was in the hospital?" I asked.
