Life As A Single Father

Zak's POV

I'm living a busy life, I'm a dog owner, a paranormal investigator, a home owner, the host of 3 TV shows, I've made music, two books, Dark World and I Am Haunted, and a single dad to my 1 year old daughter, Sierra, yep, I'm a single dad, her mother isn't around anymore, she left for her boyfriend, waste of space she is, she left her own daughter for a guy who just wants her to test the bed is bouncy every night. She left pretty much when Sierra was born, we were together and then she fell pregnant, we split up before she found out though, she was going to get an abortion as she didn't want to be a mother, I told her not to, I wanted the baby, I was prepared to be a single father, I wasn't bothered where she was, as long as I had my child, she decided to have her and let me keep her, as soon as she gave birth, she gave me our baby, I asked if she wanted to hold her but she wanted nothing to do with her, Sierra was born early and had complications, she struggled to stay breathing so she was kept in hospital for a few weeks until she was better, and I never left her side, her mother was discharged and she went on her way, that was the last time I saw her, I put everything on hold for Sierra, to be by her side every step of the way, she does still have breathing problems but not as bad, she's asthmatic like me. Fortunately we're not badly asthmatic. I've been through many sleepless nights with her crying and needing to be fed and having diaper changes, I do everything, I'm her mother and father at the same time. We have the tightest bond, Gracie loves her and is so gentle with her which I'm really happy about, I didn't wanna have to give Gracie to my mom, I couldn't put her back in the home. But Gracie is absolutely fantastic with her. 

Sierra is trying to learn to walk, she talks a little bit, she can only say 'daddy', 'aaron', 'nick', 'uncle' and 'hi' and she crawls everywhere. It's funny because when she stands up and tries to walk, she only has to lift her foot to fall down. 

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

My 8am alarm goes off, I wake up, and turn it off, Sierra had a good night last night, she only woke up twice, around midnight for a feed, then again at around 4 for a diaper change, during the night she has milk, in the day she has baby food, she is getting better at sleeping through, the worse night I've had is pretty much doing an all-nighter as she was up every half an hour. I get up and stay in my pj bottoms, I sleep topless. I go to Sierras room which is near enough next to mine. I walk into her dark room and see she's still fast asleep in her cot. I walk over to her cot.

"Sierra, sweetie, time to wake up" I say gently rubbing her chest. She starts stirring and takes a couple minutes to wake up, I watch her as she rubs all over her face with her hands. She finishes waking herself up and looks at me. "Morning babygirl" I say as I pick her up.

"Daddy" She says.

"Let's get you changed and then you can have some breakfast" I say as I carry her to her changing room. I undress her from her baby-grow and change her diaper, which is probably for me the worse thing to do, cause when she does a number 2, it stinks so bad. I find her a white top and sit her up to put it on her. "Stay there and I'll find you some bottoms" I tell her, she can keep herself in a sitting position. I look in her draw and find her some bottoms. I find her favourite purple bottoms and gently put them on her. 

"Ok beautiful, let's go downstairs and get you something to eat" I say and pick her up again.

"Gaagaag" She says.

"I know sweetie, I know" I say. We go downstairs and through to the kitchen, I put Sierra in her highchair and get some food out for her. I go and sit opposite her. 

"Daddaddaddadda" She says. Bless her. She tries so hard to talk. This girl is everything to me, as is Gracie who is still sleeping, she usually sleeps in til about 9 ish.
