Baby Shower

Me and Zak are having a baby shower today, we're going to announce that we are having twins, Lauryn Rose, and a boy, Levi David, it was a surprise when we found out, but we are still very happy. Sydnie will be a great big sister. I have about 3 months left of this pregnancy, and I just want it over so we can meet these two.

"Babe, we got the snacks ready?" Zak asks as he carries Sydnie to her play area.

"Yeah just putting the cakes out" I say as I nearly put the cakes on the table. We have blue and pink cakes with 'girl' and 'boy' on them and some have a girls face and some a boy's face on them.

"Awesome I'm gonna sort out the baby bottles" He says as he makes his way to the kitchen. If anyone wants a drink, they shall have juice in a baby bottle, you may think that's a lot of baby bottles, but there are only about a few people coming, Nick, Aaron, my brother, Zak's mom and sister, and then there's us.

Ding dong

"Someone is here, I'll get it" I call to Zak. I slowly make me way to the door with my bump. Aaron and Zak's mom.

"Hey Heather" Aaron says as we hug.

"Hello goofy" I say.

"How are you sweetie?" Zak's mom asks.

"Fine, just can't wait to go into labour" I say not giving away any baby details.

"Damn I thought you were gonna say what you two are having" Aaron says laughing.

"You're not gonna trick me that easily, you'll find out when everyone gets here" I say.

"Never mind" He says with a chuckle.

"Come on in" I say and let them in. We go through to the living room.

"Where's my beautiful granddaughter?" Zak's mom asks.

"She's right here grandma" Zak says carrying Sydnie to us.

"Hey bro" Aaron says.

"Hey man, thanks for coming, both of you" Zak says while passing Sydnie to his mom.

"We wouldn't miss this for anything, hey sweetie" Zak's mom says as she takes Sydnie and starts talking to her. Over the next 30-45 minutes everyone else is arriving.

"Thanks everyone for coming over for this special announcement" I say.

"It's cool, we just wanna know now, and do you have anything to drink?" My brother asks.

"Yep, one second" Zak says as disappears. He then comes back with the baby bottles of juice.

"Dude what are those?" Aaron asks.

"They are baby bottles" Zak answers.

"We asked for drinks, not baby bottles" Nick says.

"They are your drinks, try them" I say. They each take a bottle and attempt to drink.

"I can't do it, I haven't done this since I was a baby" Aaron says.

"Yeah, this is like impossible" My brother says.

"Sydnie is managing it" Zak says as he watches her, we all look over and see she is drinking it like she's never drunk before.

"She's still kinda a baby, she would know" My brother says. They eventually get the hang of it and it's actually quite funny to watch, grown ups enjoying drinking from baby bottles.
