Soulmates

PART 1

It's just another day at work, working in a cafe, not much but it pays the bills. While you are cleaning up after serving a customer you see a man approach the counter, tall, black hair in a style, a bit of facial hair, attractive, dressed well.

"Hi sir can I help?" You ask ready to take his order.

"Could I grab a coffee and a bottle of water please?" He requests with a smile, gorgeous smile.

"Of course, that'll be $4.90" You say, he hands over a 5.

"Keep the change" He says as you put it through the till.

"Thank you" You say. You get the bottle of ice cold water out of the fridge and give it to him and then you get the coffee made.

"There you go sir, enjoy" You say.

"Thank you" He says and begins to walk away. Now to clean up, again.

"Err sorry, could I ask you a quick question?" You hear from behind, you turn and see it's that man.

"Of course" You say.

"What time do you get off work?" He asks. Ok why does he want to know that?

"6:30, why?" You ask curious.

"I'll come back for another water before you finish, maybe you could join me at a table?" He asks. Is he asking me out?

"Um, yeah sure" You say, did you really just say that? You don't even know him.

"Great, I'll see you later" He says as he starts walking away.

"Yeah see you" You say.

"The name is Zak" He says as he gets closer to the door.

"Mine is Y/N, see you later, Zak" You say and then he leaves.

Did you just really say yes to a date with a stranger? Well whatever just happened you're looking forward to seeing him again, in just a few hours.

PART 2

You find yourself eagerly waiting for Zak's return, looking at the clock every few minutes to see the time, at around 6:15 he returns to the cafe.

"You came back" You say surprised.

"I said I was going to, can't let a pretty girl like you down" He says, you get him a water which you don't let him pay for.

"I still have 15 minutes left, but find a table and I'll join you as soon as I'm off" You say, he smiles and does just that. You notice him watching you ask you work and finally your shift finishes, you sit down with him and order some food. You talk and talk and talk about your life, get to know each other, he tells you he works on TV on a show Ghost Adventures, you've never heard of it but promise you'll watch it, you tell him about your life which doesn't seem as exciting as his.

By the end of your time together you agree that you should call it a night.

"Can a have your number?" He asks, you gladly give it to him and he texts you so you have his.

"Thanks, I had a good evening Zak" You say.

"Yeah me too, I really hope to see you again, Y/N" He says.

"So do I" You say and peck him on the cheek.

"Sorry, that was too soon" You say.

"No it's ok, don't be sorry" He says. You say your goodbyes and walk separate ways, You send him a text later on to say thanks again.
