Hero Part 2

So I've told you my story of when Zak saved me from an abusive relationship, once I ran away I didn't have anywhere to go so since then I've lived under Zaks roof, which is easier now we're a couple. I have a son with Zak now, I named him Alexander Mason Bagans. I found out about a month after I left my ex that I was pregnant, he's not Zaks son, unfortunately, but as far as we're concerned Alex is his son, by love, Zak supported me through the pregnancy even though we weren't together, we actually got together near enough when Alex was born, I named him Alex after Zak with Alexander being his middle name and Mason was my brothers name, he died but we were close as anything. And yeah I have Alex Zaks surname, Zak is also his father on the birth certificate, I don't care what people say about it, he's always going to be Zaks son, never my exs! Zak is a great dad to Alex and I couldn't ask for anyone better for Alex.

"Alex sweetie, don't play with your food please" I say as I watch him pull apart his toast. He can eat on his own now at 2 years old, he has been a fast learner since he was born, he's even good with holding a conversation with you.

"Oh Dani, don't be such a kill joy, he'll eat it" Zak says while eating his toast.

"Yeah but he gets crumbs everywhere and then I have to clean it cause you never do" I say as I watch Alex continue to play with his food.

"Well then give him something else to eat, and don't say I never clean up after him, I offer to help you and you say 'no it's ok'" He says using a mimic voice to say 'no it's ok' which makes me laugh.

"Whatever, I don't sound like that" I say defending my voice box.

"I don't sound like that" He says in his mimic voice again. I look over at Alex and see he's finally eating his toast.

"Good boy Alex" I say.

"See I told you he will eat it, he's just doing what kids do" Zak says.

"Daddy can we go to the park later" Alex asks Zak.

"Maybe buddy, we'll see when later comes ok" Zak says and Alex nods. Zak finishes his food and gets up, he puts his plate in the sink and then hugs me from behind placing a kiss on my neck.

"Ok what do you want daddy?" I ask playing around.

"A kiss" He says. I sigh and turn around and kiss him.

"There you've had a kiss" I say.

"I'll get a proper kiss later" He says and let's go, he kisses Alex on his forehead and wonders off.

"I love you" I half yell to him, I think he's going to his office to do some work, sometimes he works here at home, other times he actually goes out and meets the guys.

"I love you too beautiful" I hear Zak call back making me smile.

Ding dong

"Baby could you-" Zak calls and I interrupt him.

"I got it" I say as I get up. "Don't move handsome" I say to Alex. I go to the front door and open it.

"Hello Dani" Says the one man I hoped I'd never see again.

"AAHHHH-" I scream but he puts his hand over mine as he drags me out of the house.

"I told you that you'd see me again" He says.

"Dani, what's going on?" I hear Zak ask as I hear footsteps race down the stairs. I'm getting dragged further away from the house and I then see Zak in the doorway.

"She's mine now, just as she should be" My ex says to Zak.

"I've heard all about you, son of a bitch! Let her go or so help you, you won't see daylight again" Zak orders as we walks towards us but keeping his distance. I'm thrown in a car.
