Skye's POV

I'm Nicks wife, and the mother of his two beautiful daughters Annabelle and Chloe. I'm putting them both to bed which isn't easy when Nick isn't here because they're daddy's girls so they like him to say good night to them, I don't know when he will be back from the Ghost Adventures headquarters.

"Mommy I wanna say night to daddy" Annabelle says snuggled up in bed.

"I know darling but daddy is working late tonight" I say as I'm perched on the edge of her bed. I look over at Chloe in her cot, she crawls everywhere, she hasn't started talking yet but I'm pretty sure she would say the same as her sister.

"Why does he always work late?" Annabelle asks a little upset. Just as I'm about to answer I hear the door open.

"Honey, I'm home" I hear Nick call. Thank god! I hear the door close.

"Upstairs in the girls' room" I call back. I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. "Daddy is here now to say goodnight" I say.

"Yay" Annabelle says happily.

"Now after daddy says goodnight to you I want you to go to sleep ok, show your little sister what she has to do when she's in a big girls bed" I say. She nods with her huge smile, I lean over her and kiss her head. I get up and walk to Chloe who is also waiting for her daddy to say goodnight.

"Daddy!" Annabelle calls in her cute happy voice.

"Hey baby girl" He says. He doesn't look happy, you know the look when he's trying to look happy for the kids but there's actually something on his mind.

"They won't go to sleep unless you say goodnight" I tell him. I pick up Chloe from her cot and give her a gentle hug.

"Now what have I told you about giving mommy a hard time when its your bedtime?" Nick asks in a playful tone.

"To do as she says and go to sleep and you'll say night to us when you get home" Annabelle says in her guilty voice.

"Never mind, you'll remember that for next time" He says perching on the edge of her bed.

"Sorry mommy" Annabelle apologises.

"It's ok sweetie" I say while rocking Chloe to sleep.

"Anyway, it's time for you to sleep princess" Nick says. He leans over to Annabelle and kisses her forehead just like I did.

"I love you daddy" Annabelle says.

"I love you too baby girl" He says. "Now I'm gonna say night to Chloe while mommy says night to you" He says standing up. He comes over to me and gently takes Chloe from my arms. He still looks down.

"Everything ok hun?" I ask a little worried.

"Yeah, we'll talk downstairs" He says quietly as he rocks Chloe. I sit with Annabelle again.

"Time for sleep little one" I say stroking her cheek and then she yawns.

"Night mommy, I love you" She says and she starts slowly drifting off.

"I love you too sweetheart" I say and she goes off.

"Night princess" I hear Nick say to Chloe. I look over and watch him gently place her back in her cot fast asleep. He turns and smiles at me and then gestures for me to leave the room first. He follows behind me and closes the door quietly.

"Nick what's wrong?" I ask getting more concerned about what is on his mind. He is going away to a dangerous location or something?

"I'll tell you downstairs babe, I don't wanna risk the girls hearing" He says half whispering. I then follow him down the stairs. We go through to the kitchen and get a drink, he makes a sandwich as he probably hasn't eaten.

"There's a dinner for you if you want that instead" I say and take a sip of my drink.

"It's ok I'll have it for breakfast or something" He says.

"You could take it to work for lunch" I suggest which makes him sigh.

"No, I can't" He says. I walk over to him as he eats his sandwich.

"Why not? Did something happen?" I ask getting more worried.

"Yeah, something did happen, with me and Zak" He says.

"Ok, what happened?" I ask.

"We got into a pretty bad argument, cause the last lockdown he kept on trying to put me in the firing line with the demonic entity, I told him he can't do that with me, I don't want anything bad following me home, I've got you and our girls to keep safe, he said he was experimenting, cause Aaron is usually bait he thought he'd see how I did, that's when it got bad and then I left" Nick explains.

"Wait so, did you get fired or did you quit?" I ask.

"I dunno, he didn't tell me I'm fired and I didn't walk out and say I quit, but I'm not going in tomorrow, for what Zak has done I don't think I want anything to do with him" Nick says.

"It's ok, do what you have to do, me and the girls will support you" I say hugging him.

"I just don't get it, he knows I've got you and the girls to look after, he and Aaron don't have a wife, a girlfriend or kids, why couldn't one of them do it, you know?" He asks on the verge of tears.

"I know and it's ok, you can find something else to do, start your own show or something" I suggest. He stops hugging me and gives me a kiss on my lips. Wow. Ok.

"Honey I love you, that's given me an idea, I can start my own show, travelling to locations and do my own lockdowns with my own crew" He says excited.

"Ok" I say.

"That way things can be done my way and not his bloody way, I won't put anyone in danger as such, and I can come home and keep you girls safe" He says.

"Good idea, you should" I say encouraging him.

"Come on, let's go to bed and watch TV, we're spending the day together tomorrow as a family" He says. We put our drinks in the sink and we go upstairs. I open the girls door to check they're OK.

"Girls are snoring away in there" I say trying to contain my laughter to not wake them up.

"Good, let's go to bed" He says and kisses me. What with all the kissing? "I love you Skye" He says in between kisses.

"I love you too Nick" I say. We stop kissing and go to bed.

I TAKE REQUESTS FROM ANYONE, I HAVE TWO MORE TO DO AND THEN IM DONE UNTIL SOMEONE REQUESTS ME, I WILL TRY AND GET ANOTHER REQUEST DONE TODAY AT LEAST BUT IM GONNA BE WORK BUSY TODAY CAUSE ONE OF MY COLLEAGUES HAS HAD ANOTHER SUDDEN DAY OFF SO ME AND MY FRIEND HAVE TO GO IN AN HOUR EARLY BUT ILL DO MY BEST TO GET ANOTHER REQUEST DONE TODAY OR AT THE LEAST GET IT STARTED!
