Insecure Love

I've been dating this guy, Zak Bagans, for a little while now, and things have been going great, I've been really happy and I think so has he. Until recently, for some reason Zak seems to have started becoming, I dunno, insecure?

I don't think he means it, but he keeps getting it in his head that I'm cheating on him. Of course I'm not, I love him, he's an amazing guy and everything a girl wants, why would I throw that away?

Maybe it's just a phase, he's away a lot, and I mean A LOT, for the show so maybe he's just a little worried but needs assuring every now and then. I dunno, but I do hope these accusations stop because it's not healthy for either of us or the relationship.

"Hey babe" Zak greets as he arrives back from the office. I don't live with Zak, not yet anyway, but I do have a key so I come over sometimes, see Gracie and maybe clean up a bit, that's if I'm not at work.

"Hey, how was work?" I ask as he walks over to me sat on his couch and pecks me on the lips.

"It wasn't bad, still got loads of footage to review from the last investigation, but we're getting there" He answers as he sits down with me.

"That sounds tiring" I joke making us both chuckle.

"So how has your day been?" He asks.

"Pretty relaxing, I took Gracie for a walk and bumped into an old friend, ended up talking to him for a while, then we came back-" I start explaining but I'm interrupted by Zak.

"A friend? A male friend?" He asks, his facial expression has gone from kind, gentle, relaxed, to serious, a bit of rage and, not so relaxed.

"A male friend yes, I haven't seen him for like.. I dunno.. 2 years or so" I say.

"Hmm, ok then" He responds looking bad if he's trying to believe me. Here we go again. I need a drink.

"I'm thirsty, are you thirsty?" I ask as I get up and head to the kitchen.

"I'll just have some water" He answers. Please, manners. I get him some water and pour myself a glass of juice and head back to him on the couch only to find him on my phone.

'What are you doing?" I ask confused as I put or drinks on the little coffee table.

"You got a message through, who is Wesley?" He asks seriously.

"The old friend I saw today, we swapped numbers so we could meet up for a coffee and catch up, we used to be good friends and somehow lost contact" I tell him.

"It was great seeing you again today, looking forward to next time xx" He reads. He looks at me, not amused.

"Zak" I say quietly. Please don't start this again.

"Looking forward to next time? How many times have you really seen him Y/N? Have you been sleeping with him while I've been away?" He asks starting to raise his voice.

"Don't start this again Zak, you do this every frigging time! How many times have I gotta tell you I'm not seeing anyone else?" I question. I'm getting sick of this.

"Well when you get texts like this, it's gotta make me wonder, I'm away every 2 weeks for a few days, maybe even longer at times, girls have needs, so have you been seeing him behind my back?" He yells.

"No!" I answer bluntly.

"Y/N, you better not be lying to me" He warns. I have had enough of this.
