Chapter 14: The cake

“Come one everypony, it’s time for the cake!” yells Pinkie Pie or maybe she was just talking, hard to tell. Light and I walk back to the party hoof in hoof.

I walk up to Pinkie Pie “So where is the cake Pinkie Pie?” I ask, “it’s just inside, of course I would come with you but I have to round up everypony to get inside, I just know you will love the cake, Mr and Mrs Cake made it just for you, hope you enjoy it, do you wont to know what it looks like? No, wait, never mind I want it to be a surprise,” replies Pinkie Pie in practically one breath, “Thanks” I say not actually understanding most of what she said except for ‘it’s just inside’.

I trot inside the barn, hearing my glass shoes clip and clop while I walk. I like the barn, it has a nice cosy feeling to it plus the colours are really nice. I soon find Light and we walk up to the cake together.

It is a three-story cake but we can’t see it because it is covered with a cloth, a very big cloth it looks more like a towel. Everypony starts crowding around us to try and see the cake. “All right everypony, I expect you are all trying to see the cake!” yells out Pinkie Pie into a microphone while she floats into the air with balloons around her.  She swims through the air and finally makes it above the cake. “Voila!” Pinkie calls out as she lifts off the cloth from the cake.

The cake is amazing; the bottom layer has thick multi coloured icing all the way around with swirls of white icing on the outside. The middle layer also has multi coloured icing but instead of white icing on the outside it has chocolate roses and leaves, they are all different types of chocolate; white, milk and dark. The top layer is my favourite; it (like all of the cake) has multi coloured icing, on the outside it has different coloured balloons, in the middle it has a candle and it has written ‘Welcome Luna (then in really small writing) and Light’.

Light and I start laughing and when other ponies see it they start laughing to, soon everypony in the barn is laughing. I’ve laughed so much I can’t even hear anything coming out of my mouth. They had to put Light’s name on it at the last minute.

“Don’t worry, there is enough cake for everypony” says Pinkie Pie through giggles even though everypony else has already stopped laughing. Pinkie Pie lights up the candle “Now for a song!”

*Singing* “I light this candle up tonight, so everypony have a bite,

this is not fake, this is a cake,

this is for Luna and Light, so everypony don’t fight,

over this cake, just get a bit to take!

Luna and Light blow out the candle,

that shouldn’t be hard to handle,

just have a piece of cake, that I helped to make, whether you are big or small, or short or tall, just have a piece of cake, that I helped to make, whether you are green or purple or yellow, whether you play the drums or the cello,

just have a piece of cake, that I helped to make, just have a piece of cake, that I helped to make, just have a piece of cake, that I helped to make and bake!” sings Pinkie Pie.

Everypony starts cheering while Light and I blow out the candle, or should I say attempt to blow out the candle, every time we tried it lit up again. Everypony was now on the floor in hysterics, because we can’t blow out the candle. “Oh silly Luna and Light, that is a hard blow out candle” Pinkie says although since she is laughing it sounds more like “hahao siilyy Lunnaa aannd Lhhite, thatt iss aa hardd bllow ouwwt caandlle”.  

Light decides to put a drop of water on the candle, and then we blow it out, we start laughing as well. Pinkie Pie cuts off two pieces, Light and I get them before anypony else. The cake is delicious and on the inside it is swirls of chocolate cake and vanilla cake. Soon everypony is enjoying my cake, this is the best party ever!
