I woke up the next morning to delicious smells wafting into the room. I sat up straight and my heart started to pound, who was in my apartment? It all started coming back to me now, the whole conversation with Norman and how I had let him sleep over last night because it was really late. I got up and put on a pair of stretch pants and a bra and shirt, not even paying attention to what it was. My stomach growled loudly and I knew that I was hungry; the smell of the food making me even hungrier than before. I made my way out of the room and could see Norman moving about the kitchen with ear buds in his ears as he cooked. I leaned against the corner of the hallway as I watched him, my arms crossing over my chest as I chuckled a bit as he sang along to the song. I hope that he doesn't mind me taking a video. I had ran to grab my phone and was now taking a video of him cooking. I could use this as leverage later on, a smirk having formed on my lips. He danced a little bit but he turned to set the plates of food on the counter and caught me watching him. I stopped the video as he pulled the ear buds from his ears and I could see his cheeks heating up in embarrassment from being caught. He gave me a sheepish smile as he put his ear buds back and slipped his phone into his pocket.

"I made breakfast," he spoke, nodding his head to the plates. The food looked amazing and I didn't even know that he could cook, which was a very good surprise.

I walked over to the counter and sat on one of the barstools. My stomach let out a loud growl as he set a fork in front of me and I raised an eyebrow. It seems like he had found everything alright, but I don't even remember showing him where everything was.

"It smells good and I see that you found everything okay," I took the fork from him and began to dig into the food.

"It took me a while and a little bit of detective work," He said, his voice a little low which I still knew he was still embarrassed from earlier.

I nodded my head and we both ate in silence, the sound of forks scraping against the plates. I was so wrapped up in eating that I didn't see Norman sitting a steaming mug of coffee in front of me. I grinned and took a swig of it although it was black, but right now I didn't mind. I needed the caffeine to wake me up. I held the cup between my two hands, not caring that it was burning hot. I looked to him and I flushed a bit as our eyes caught each other's and I looked back to my plate, sipping on the bitter brew. I set it down and finished my food and looked to him.

"Thank you, detective. That was a very good breakfast. Who knew THE Norman Reedus could cook," I laughed and watched as he winced when I said the in front of his name.

I giggled this time as I finished my coffee and moved to take care of my plates but he put his hand up to stop me. I let out a sigh as he took care of the plates and refilled my coffee mug. I was grateful for him and the fact that he is keeping my coffee cup full and I could feel the effects of the caffeine already. I took the cup and took a long swig of the liquid and then looked to him.

"What are your plans for today?" I asked him as Poe jumped up onto the barstool next to me and then up onto the counter. He looked to me and then to Norman and meowed, hoping we would share scraps of food with him. I reached out to pet him and he head-butted my hand. I scratched under his chin and watched as Norman gave him a small piece of sausage, feeding the cat and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"What? I do it for Eye," He said and before I could say anything he went on, "I was thinking of going with Katrina but I think she had something today. For the life of me I couldn't remember what it was so I don't think I'm going to be doing anything."

I nod my head and become silent again, feeling the jealousy rise in me but I'm trying to push it down. I keep repeating to myself that everything is going to be okay and that we are friends and that seems to be my new mantra. I felt the jealousy subside as I heard the water run and looked up to see Norman with his back to me washing the dishes that he had dirtied. I was shocked to actually see him doing something so normal as washing them. It just made him seem even more down to Earth then already thought he was. He looked handsome standing there and I couldn't help but daydream. In the daydream there is a small house and he and I were standing together washing the dishes together. There were pitter patter of little feet and high pitched squeals of a little one. Norman's arm came to wrap behind me and on his left ring finger was a wedding band, and one was placed on mine. It was my ideal of a perfect life and this is what I wanted.
