I couldn't help the smile that was on my face as I got ready for my date with Norman. My phone was sitting against the wall propped up so that I could see the video. I was trying to do this make up look and I don't know how it is going. I didn't want to jinx it but I thought it was going well. I picked up the blending sponge I had and went to work putting the finishing touches on. The jitters were going through me and I didn't know how I was going to handle it. I haven't been on a date in a while and I didn't know where he planned on taking me. I didn't care where it was because anywhere with him is where I want to be. I turned the video off and put my phone in the clutch that I had decided to take with me and looked into the mirror. My face looked flawless thanks to the foundation that I had put on and I didn't even look like myself. I hoped he liked it. I just wanted to try something different for once. I looked at my hair that took me forever to curl and get into the perfect hair do.

"I'm ready when you are ;)" I texted to Norman and set my clutch down on the cupboard, looking at Poe's food bowl and I see that he needs a refill. Walking to the kitchen I open the door to the cupboard and pulled out his bag of food, dumping some of it into his bowl. I heard his footsteps as he ran towards it and I couldn't help but chuckle. Today is just amazing and I can't wait to see Norman again.

My phone went off and I picked it up, seeing a text from him and the smile spread on my face.

"I'm almost there Sweetheart J"

I squealed like a school girl and made sure that everything was in place, even smoothing out my outfit as if I had wrinkled it when bending over. My hands were shaking a bit because of how nervous I was, although him and I have been out before but it was never a date. The word is what made me nervous because it just seems more official and real. What if I say something stupid? What if he doesn't like me? Those were the thoughts as I heard footsteps in the hallway. My heart started beating faster and I could feel my anxiety levels raising a bit, even though I had taken my medicine for it.

The footsteps paused in the hallway and I heard a thud on my door, the sound of knocking meeting my ears. I took a deep breath and held my clutch tightly in my hands. I unlocked the bottom lock and opened the door to be met with another bunch of flowers, this time they were sunflowers. I couldn't help but smile as their sweet fragrance met my nose. They were absolutely gorgeous.

"Thank you," I smiled as I looked to Norman, his eyes sweeping down my body and I took a deep breath, putting a smile on my face.

"You look gorgeous, although I think you look better without all that make up," he whispered to me, stepping up and giving me a peck on the lips.

I smiled into the kiss and wrapped my free arm around him, not wanting him to move from that spot. Every time he kissed me, I couldn't help but feel the butterflies in my stomach as if it were the first time that we had kissed. How could he make me feel like this? He smiled softly and brought his lips back down onto mine and his fingers wrapped itself into my hair, gently pulling on it and letting it spring back, causing me to giggle against his lips. I pulled away and looked around for something to put the sunflowers in, the stems being so thick and heavy. I found something that would do and put them in there, adding water to them. I looked up to catch Norman staring at me and it made me nervous but yet it made me feel good about myself. I walked back over to him and he reached his hand out to me, grabbing my hand in his and linking our fingers together. His hand fit so perfectly into mine, our fingers fitting together like two puzzle pieces.

"Where are we going?" I asked him, although I knew he wasn't going to tell me exactly where. He wasn't one to give surprises away.

"You are not going to get it out of me, so don't even try," he smirked at me, the corners of his eyes crinkling and it just makes him look even more handsome then before.
