"I'm home," I heard Norman call through the house, the sounds of plastic bags rattling filled my ears as I put the last dish away. My hands were still wet and soapy from doing the dishes, so I grabbed the dish towel and wiped my hands on it. I made my way into the living room when I heard Norman shout for me to stay where I was. His footfalls picked up as he seemed like he was trying to hide things. I guess he picked up the stuff for the reveal party; him not wanting me to know what we were having because he wanted to surprise me and his friends and family; my family having been invited also. I was nervous because my dad was going to be there and he hadn't met Norman yet, I don't even know if my mom told him about Norman.

"You can come out now," I heard him say, his voice a little winded and I couldn't help but chuckle, waddling towards him and pecking his lips. "Did you find everything you needed?" He smiled at me and pulled me into a deep kiss, nodding his head afterwards. "I can't wait," he spoke softly, his thumb rubbing my cheek gently.

The next couple hours consisted of Norman running me a nice bath and setting up for the party, which is why he ran me a bath and then set up the tv in the bedroom. He didn't want me to see what he had planned and I was actually loving the fact that he was spoiling me. I loved it. I laid in bed with some strawberries and melted chocolate. I dipped the red, ripe berry into the luscious and smooth confection and took a bite. The juice dribbled down my chin a bit but I couldn't help but let out a soft moan at the sweet taste of the chocolate and the tart taste of the berry. My eyes closed and continued to eat. My hand rested on my stomach and I giggled as the baby kicked at my overstretched skin. I licked my lips and leaned back against the back pillow he had got me and closed my eyes.

"Babe," I heard whispering and my body moving gently back and forth. I opened my eyes and groaned, I must have fallen asleep. I didn't even know when I drifted off but now I was feeling groggy and disoriented. "You ready?" I asked him, my voice rough from sleep and he smiled a me nodding his head at me, "Yes everything is set up and ready for the reveal. I have something for you too." I looked to him shocked to see an outfit laying there on the bed, but something told me that wasn't it. "Here lets get you dressed," I could only nod as I am having trouble waking up and if anything, I would have crawled back into bed and went back to sleep. He helped me dress gently, the sundress falling over my skin, the material silky smooth. I rubbed at my eyes and smiled at him, "I love it." He kissed my head softly, "I saw it and thought of you." When he finished we walked out, his hands covering my eyes. I could feel just how rough they were and I loved the feeling. A smile spread on my face as I leaned into him and trusted him to lead me where he wanted. He removed his hands from my eyes once we got where he wanted me. I looked to where he had a box sitting against the wall. My eyes widened as I saw what it was and I turned, throwing my arms around his neck. He had gotten me a portable firepit, which is something that I have always wanted. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I kept saying, punctuating each statement with a kiss. "You're welcome baby," he said, his eyes were dancing with a happiness that I haven't really seen in them in a while.

Norman slowly went to his knees and pressed his lips on my belly, talking to the baby softly. My eyes watered and I couldn't believe that he was here and things were going good. It was like I had the old Norman back and that everything in the past hadn't happened. She watched as he pecked her stomach again and then stood up. He kissed her lips softly and lead her out towards the backyard. He had a tent rented and set up, chairs were under the tent and he couldn't help but smile as he watched me smile. The smile stretched across my lips so wide, that I felt like they were going to split in two.

"You did all of this?" I asked him, looking over at Norman and he nodded his head with a smile on his face. I could tell that he felt accomplished and he should because there was a lot to do. There were decorations in blue and pink, a sign saying which one is it? Take a guess here, a table sitting under it. He put a lot of thought into this and I wondered if it was because he felt guilty for being the way he had been when we found out we were expecting. I rubbed my face and looked to him. "You really didn't have to do all of this." He hummed his response and I leaned into him, hearing a car door shut from the front and I wonder if people were starting to arrive. Norman and I made our way to the driveway by the garage and headed up the blacktop. I smiled wide as I saw who was standing there and it was Mingus. He stood there with an overnight bag and his eyes were moving around the outside of the small house and I couldn't help but feel a little weary about what he was going to think. I know his dad has an apartment in New York but I was always self-conscious about things.

"Rae!" He ran to me and wrapped me in his arms, causing my eyes to water because this made me feel good, although I felt bad for leaving him. "Hey, bud," I whispered to him, sniffling a bit and pulled back when he did and gave him a soft smile. "I missed you," he told me, the smile stretched on his lips letting me know that he was telling the truth and it really touched my heart that he did. I could feel guilt rising in me and I felt like such an awful person, but if it didn't happen then I felt like Norman and I wouldn't be in this spot right now. I liked to believe that maybe it had opened his eyes, because I love the man and didn't really want to lose him. "I missed you too," I whispered and swallowed passed the thick lump in my throat, my eyes burning with tears that wanted to fall, but I wasn't going to let them. I didn't want to make my mascara or eyeliner run.

"You excited?" Norman asked Mingus as we led him inside, him having explained that Helena couldn't make it and that she was sorry. I didn't know Norman had invited her, although I didn't mind that he did. I liked Helena and she and I got along well. I was kind of sad that she wasn't going to be there, but I wondered who he all invited. He kept the guest list a secret. Everything was hidden from me, besides how it was set up and I was very itchy to find out what was going to happen. How everyone was going to react, but most of all I couldn't wait to see if we were having a boy or a girl. Of course he and I had to talk about names and what we both would like. I couldn't help but wonder if Mingus would like to help us name his sibling and I couldn't help but feel a bit giddy at that. I would love to include him because all of this is new for him and I really don't know how he feels about it. I guess I could ask him but there was good vibes all around, I didn't want to ruin that. For once everyone was happy and I would love for it to stay that way. "I am excited," I heard Mingus say as he began to help with some of the chips that Norman was opening. "I have always wanted a sibling, but it is kind of weird at the same time." I couldn't help but smile and chuckle as he said that, because I do understand where he is coming from.

"You don't know how happy I am to have you both back here and to hear you say that, Mingus," I told him, going to help but both of them stopped me. I rolled my eyes but continued to smile because I actually enjoyed relaxing, maybe just too much. I knew that they didn't want me to do much right now and I had no energy to argue, since the little one in my stomach was taking up all my energy and keeping me up some nights. "I am happy too," Norman said as he went out the backdoor and set the food on the table, getting prepared for the big party and the guests to arrive.

I couldn't wait for theparty to begin and nothing was going to bring me downor.,p
