Chapter Two

Ashton's P.O.V

I was the first one to wake up, then was Michael and finally a very irritated Luke. Michael and I were sipping on glasses of blood when a fully dressed like came out of his room, all three of our bags in hand. "What time is it ?" He yawned, chucking our bags at our feet. "Time to go," Michael replied, standing up and taking both of our glasses and pouring the blood into our flasks and filling one for Luke as well. I grabbed the car keys off the hook and let the other two out the door before closing it and locking it again. I drive us to school and when we got there, Calum was there already. Zayn-one of Cara's friends- was standing close behind him but not close enough so that he could be heard. "C'mon, Zayn's here," I said, unbuckling me seat belt and getting out of the car. "But he's with Niall and Liam now, he can't still be part of Pandora's clan, they wouldn't allow him," Michael said, frowning. "You never know, plus Liam used to be part of the clan before he found Niall," Luke said, squeezing my shoulder. "Yeah, Niall's the only one that isn't or well wasn't part of her clan," I nodded. "He looks like he's ready to pounce on Cal," Michael gritted his teeth. "Yeah, I think that's our cue," Luke said, wrapping an arm around Michael's waist. "boys," I said gritting my teeth, "what ? this is a friendly thing, nothing romantic," Michael said gesturing to Luke's arm that was around his waist, "not that, Pandora's here, and yes it is a romantic thing, friends don't hold each other's waists but that's not important, we need to keep her away from Calum," I said through clenched teeth. "what ? where ?" Michael asked, coming closer to me and wrapping an arm around my waist and even though we agreed not to do anything romantic and I knew that I should've moved away, I didn't because it felt nice, it felt like someone was there. "with Cara, they're behind Zayn," I replied, leaning into Michael's touch.

"she's here for us, she's here to get more people into her clan, she's losing them fast," Luke mumbled, rubbing my side and I knew that we would break our promise very soon, I knew that from these little "friendly" touches it would become more and I should've complained, I should've said something but I didn't because it wouldn't be breaking it completely since we knew Calum and that he would know soon enough. "they're going to get Calum soon but if we get a move on with our plan to tell him then we'll get there before she does," Michael whispered. "c'mon then," I whispered back, pulling out of his hold and grabbing his hand, intertwining our fingers and god that felt nice, finally holding his hand even though we were going against our own promise. Michael squeezed my hand, rubbing circles on it with his thumb as we walked closer to Calum, his hand in mine took away my focus from the burning sensation in my wrist. I smiled at him as he did the same to Luke, he smiled back and we walked towards Calum, hand in hand. "hey Calum," Luke smiled, waving at Calum with his free hand. "oh hey," Calum replied, looking up from his phone and waving back, his eyes went straight down to our hands and he raised an eyebrow at us when he finally looked up again,

"what ?" Michael chuckled from next to me, "are you guys dating or something ?" Calum asked quietly. Michael squeezed my hand, I squeezed it back and he did the same with Luke, Mike, just say yes, he can't know yet, it's too early, I mind linked to Michael since he was the only one that turned it one again, Luke's was still of. "y-yeah," Michael replied, his voice sounded scratchy so he cleared his throat and gripped my hand tighter, it was so tight that it was hurting since he was stronger than both Luke and I but I didn't say anything and just brushed my thumb over his knuckles almost in a soothing manner. "we need to keep an eye on him, Pandora's still here and it looks like she's not leaving anytime soon or she wouldn't be able to stand there and have a causal conversation with the principal like that," Luke said, nodding his head in Pandora's direction. Michael growled, he sounded more like a werewolf rather than a vampire but his dad was a werewolf so he picked up some qualities from him even though most were from his mom who was a vampire. I let go of his hand and wrapped and arm tightly around his waist, "no Michael," I whispered just as his eyes started turning red. "she's here for Calum, look at how she's eyeing us and Calum," Michael said lowly, he turned around and looked me in the eye.
