Chapter Sixteen

Ashton's P.O.V

I was still awake when Pandora and my dad came home that night, so when I heard the front door open and my da's heavy steps to his room, I knew Pandora was still downstairs. So I went down there. She was standing in the kitchen, leaning against the counter and sipping a glass of water. "Pandora," I called quietly. She looked up and smiled sweetly. "Ash, I needed to talk to you, I don't want you to feel bad because this is my choice and well you guys need to be safe," she said, straightening up as she faced me. "Look, your dad isn't very keen on keeping you here, but I am. As you knew, he didn't want anything to do with you, he basically dis-owned you. Now, he only allowed you guys to stay because I said so, and it's been a while, four months to be exact, he wants you out, but I told him no, you guys need to be safe, you can get hurt easily. He doesn't care about that. Uh-" she paused, biting her lip and taking a deep breath before continuing.  "He said to leave, if I wanted you safe. And well, I know you're hurt and stuff and you don't have your mum with you, I know that you don't take me as a mum- and I don't expect you to, but if it's okay, at least take me as a godparent or aunt or something if that sort. So, you know your dad and i's views are completely different and well we clash. A lot. So I said that no, he can't just let go of you like that, you're his son, he said he isn't your dad because I didn't birth you, but listen, I've taken you in now, okay, Cara, Joey and I are your family-or whatever you want to label us as now. We are going to protect you, you and your soulmates,"

"I...I'm leaving, with you guys, yes Chloe is most probably going to know where I am, where we are, but as long as I'm with, it's fine, you'll be fine," she finished off, looking at me with an intense stare. "I understand that you'd like to be something to me, by good news, you are, I love you as my foster mum, if that's okay ?" Pandora nodded, signaling for me to carry on with a smile. "Why do you want to do all of this for us though ? Like you're willing to leave my dad, just so that my soulmates and I are safe ?" I asked. Pandora nodded again, "look, I knew that we'd clash again, I mean yeah, we were practically desperate to find each other again but we both knew that this was coming and that we'd separate again," she said, "and I know that Cara and Joey take you and Luke as siblings and well once they get to know Michael and Calum I'm pretty sure that it'll be the same,"

I smiled at her, "Pandora, you really have no idea how much this means to me, to the boys even, we are so thankful that you're keeping us safe," she laughed and waved me off, "well, I am the good sister,"

"Plus, you guys are caught between a sister feud and can't get out, you need someone's protection, anyways, we should leave by tomorrow morning so get your guys' stuff packed and be done by ten, we should leave by then," she added, gulping down the last of her water before walking off, "goodnight Ashton, sleep well," she called as she walked up the stairs, she was a very elegant woman, "night Pandora," I called back, following her steps and going to our bedroom, I quietly took the suitcase from the corner of the room and packed all of our belonging into it, it wasn't much since Michael and Calum barely had anything at all and Luke and I only had a few pairs of clothes.

After packing, I went into the bathroom and took a medium length shower, calming down a little underneath the hot water. I brushed my teeth and slipped on a pair of boxers before drying off my hair with a towel. After that, I got into bed, behind Luke who was spooning Michael from behind. I threw my leg over both of theirs and cuddled into Luke's back, closing my eyes as I tried to stop my mind from over working. Pandora, the person who was ready to kill me just so that she could get to my father, cared about me more than my father. She wanted me to take her as a mother, but she didn't force me, she knew that I couldn't do it. Her children took me as a sibling. This whole thing made me so happy yet sad at the same time, happy because I had a family and dad because I couldn't take me actual dad as family, he didn't want anything to do with me. "Ash ?" Luke said quietly, quiet enough so that it wouldn't disturb Michael or Calum, "yeah princess ?"
