Today, Shawn asked me to meet him at our usual hangout spot and I agreed. I go up to the platform on the tree and see Shawn already waiting for me.

" I thought you never came ( Y/N ). " Shawn says jokingly.

I roll my eyes playfully at him. " Oh shut up, I'm like only five minutes late. ". I hug Shawn and he hugs me back. " So, why did you call me up here? ".

He shrugs. " Just to hangout. ". I lay on the wood and Shawn lays on my stomach as a pillow. " The sky is beautiful isn't it. ".

" Yeah, it truly is. " it was a comfortable silence, before I said something. " I'm bored. " I said looking at Shawn.

Shawn chuckles. " Me too. How about we play truth or dare? ".

" Seriously? " I laugh.

" Hey, you try finding something to do to kill the boredom. " Shawn sits up straight and glares at me playfully.

" Fine, you first. Truth or dare? " I ask Shawn, anxious of his answer.

" Truth. ".

" Wimp. " I mumble playfully, which I receive a glare from Shawn. " Who is the person you love the most? " I smirk.

" My dog. " he smirks back at me.

" Wow, I've been wounded by you, Mendes. And besides, you're allergic to dogs. " I put my hands on my chest.

" Okay you got me, and you know I'm just kidding ( Y/N ), of course its you. I can't live without you. " he pulls me into a hug.

" Now that's the answer I wanted to hear. " I grin. " What would I ever do without my best friend. " I hug him back as a giggle escape from my lips.

" My turn, truth or dare ( Y/N )? ".

" Well since I'm not a wimp like someone I know, " I smirk at Shawn as he groans at me. " I choose dare. " I grin.

He pauses for awhile as he thinks of a dare. " I dare you to kiss me, on the lips. " he smirks at me.

" W-what? " I blush.

" Come on ( Y/N ), you never back down from a dare. " he's right, I never back down from a dare.

" F-fine. " we lean slowly and finally our lips touch. I felt sparks flying everywhere and butterflies in my stomach, I've never felt like this before.

I just kissed my best friend!!

We pull apart and Shawn stares into my eyes as if he wants to say something.

" ( Y/N ), I've always loved you more than a best friend, and now that I think you feel the same way. " he squeezes my hands. " Will you be my girlfriend? ".

" Yes. " I smile.

" I know I always messed up but- wait, did you just say yes? " he looks at me with wide eyes.

" Yes, silly. " I giggle.

" I love you. " he says as he leans in again and captures my lip with his, it was like a kiss under the stars.
