*MIKE'S P.O.V.*
I was sleeping peacefully before I was rudely woken up by a small girl sitting on me.
"Go away." I groaned.
"No way! We're leaving to go back to San Diego. Better get up." I looked up to see Sam smiling down on me.
"What... What the heck? It's only 7 a.m.!" I pushed Sam off and chuckled as she fell to the floor. I rolled over and pulled the covers over my head again.
"You are such an ass Mike." I could hear her laughing softly. "Guess you won't be able to beat up Jay." She sang song her last sentence before leaving the room.
I shouted back, "Gotta get my strength up by sleeping!"

Vic woke us all up eventually to inform us that we have three days off to get back to San Diego, save Sam's friend Val, and get back to Vegas in time for the show. I was excited to see our home town again but three days was surely not enough for me. I decided to ask what this whole trip was about.
Mike, Vic, and Sam all looked at me like I had my head up my ass before speaking. Sam's expression softened and she began.
"My friend, Val, and I have been friends for as long as I can remember. She used to be my roommate before she met her current, I think asshole, boyfriend. He was perfect for her; he helped her with her emotional problems and made her extremely happy." Sam's face became sad.
"A week after she moved out and into his place, she called me. She was crying so terribly. 'He hit me Sam.' That's all I ever remember from that night. She had bruises on her every time I saw her. Yet she always kept smiling and stayed with him. There was one time, only one time, she ever left him. She went to live with her mother in Long Beach for a week before she returned to him. 'I miss him' she told me.
"No matter how stupid I thought she was I always let her back into my arms because I love her. I let her cry on me and spend nights in my apartment. She was my best friend. My best friend that was slowly dying."
Sam had begun crying yet she kept talking. "Last night while you guys played she called me explaining why she wasn't with me the night of the concert. She told me. She told me about her baby." Sam smiled a small smile before her mouth turned down into a anger, murderous frown. "He killed her baby. He hit her in the stomach so many times that she ended up having a miscarriage."
I could hear Mike's knuckles crack as he made white knuckled fists. Vic looked like he had just seen a ghost. Jaime held Brittney with a sad expression while she lightly cried into his chest. Me? My heart was gone. How could anyone be so cold? Sam started to sob which caused Vic to wrap her into a hug. After a minute or so which felt like a year, Sam found her voice again.
"We're going back to save my best friend. We're going back to save her from the hell she's living in. And I don't give a rat's ass if she doesn't want to go. She's coming with me and getting away from him." Sam held a strong face and had confidence and determination in her eyes.
Within a few seconds everyone was in the middle of the the bunk room, wrapped up in a group hug. We all cried silently and held each other. This made me appreciate the people I know and the people who loved me. Because you never know when someone might be suffering.
*SAM'S P.O.V.*
We were a day away from San Diego. While Mike and Tony played video games, Jaime sang funny songs to Brittney. I could hear her soft giggling and it made me smile.
"They should date." I turned and smiled at Vic. He laughed and rolled over to continue laughing into the pillow.
"They really should." He chuckled and hugged my waist. "Like we are." He smiled and kissed me on the lips. I smiled half way through expecting him to smile also. To my surprise, he didn't.
Vic continued to kiss me, placing small soft kisses on my lips. His arms held me close and his body barely touched mine. Suddenly he ended up on top of me, pulling my leg up and wrapping it around his waist.
The first time we had ever gone all the way was last night. It didn't feel awkward and it didn't feel uncomfortable. For some reason it felt normal. Like it was meant to be. Vic was gentle, but not forcibly gentle. It seemed like his nature.
Our lips moved in sync and only parted long enough to remove our shirts before they were locked together again. His tongue grazed my lip and I let him explore my mouth. His hands trailed up my sides giving me goose bumps. For some reason I started to laugh.
"What?" Vic smiled at me looking confused.
"The door is open." I laughed again and covered myself with the blanket.
Vic got up and closed the door before jumping on me again. I groaned and hit his chest lightly.
"Butt hole." I said jokingly. We laughed before our lips were connected again and our arms wrapped around each other.

*VIC'S P.O.V.*
I woke up holding Sam in my arms. She was still asleep and looking cuter than ever. Her hair was in her face so I brushed it away from her eyes. I kissed her head and went searching for my clothes.
I walked out to get a water bottle and found Jaime and Brittney sleeping on the couch. I smiled knowing he was happy and went back to find Mike. I found him in his bunk watching Harry Potter on his phone.
I covered his phone and sat down.
"Dude!" Mike exclaimed, sounding like he just missed something.
"We need to talk! Not like you haven't seen this a billion times." I smirked.
Mike put away his phone shamefully and looked at me. "All ears bro."
I told him what was on my mind. "I think... I might love Sam." His face seemed un-phased so I continued. "We've already done it twice and I don't know. There's something about her that makes me feel whole and complete. Makes me forget I was ever in pain. Do you think she's right for me?" I looked over at Mike again.
He was smiling. "I think she's perfect for you. I thought that before you guys ever even made it official." He punched my arm lightly.
"You think so?" I couldn't believe I was actually happy. And I knew things would only get better by returning to San Diego for a few days.
