*SAM'S P.O.V.*
Since the guys had the day off, Vic and I decided to see a doctor. We waited patiently in the waiting room, hand in hand. Every so often, Vic would glance at me with a strained smile. I would force one back and continue to solemnly watch the clock.
"Samantha Johnson?" said a tall and skinny nurse. I raised my hand and stood up with Vic by my side. I could see the nurse smile flirtatiously towards Vic so I growled underneath my breath while passing by. Vic gripped my hand tighter and chuckled as we entered the room.

I woke up with complete excitement streaming through my veins. Today was Val's birthday! I ran into her bunk and jumped on her.
"Happy 24 baby!" I smiled and kissed her face all over.
"Ugh really!" She laughed, "Thank you!" She kissed my neck before shoving me off and running to the bathroom. I laughed and got up to get her first gift for her. On my way, I texted Vic.
Tell me how the appointment goes!
As I pressed send Val and Tigger shuffled in. I stood up and put Tigger on the bunk.
"Close your eyes," I said. "I have a gift for you."
Val closed her eyes as I placed a piece of paper in her hands. She looked surprised and sat down to read it.
Valerie,
You're my world. The day I met you was the day that changed my life. I know you're broken but I'm willing to fix you. It might be a long road but I'll travel on it until you're perfectly whole again. I love you more than anything and happy birthday darling.
~ Michael
When she finished reading, I put my arm around her. Within seconds she was crying in my arms and I laughed.
"This is the best gift anyone has ever given me." She mumbled through tears. I smiled and kissed her passionately. "Thank you Mike," she whispered, "this means so much to me."
"You're welcome." I smiled and hugged her close.
*VIC'S P.O.V.*
Sam sat on the bench while I paced the room.
"Vic, would you sit down? You're stressing me out just by watching you sheesh." Sam sighed and looked at me annoyed.
"I'm sorry. I'm just... Anxious." Just as I finished my sentence and sat down, the doctor entered the room. I quickly got up again despite Sam's annoyance.
"Upon viewing your results, I have some news for you," the doctor said removing his glasses, "You are not pregnant."
Sam and I held hands before the doctor continued, "But, I do recommend seeing a therapist or possibly some medications. You have high levels of depression and anxiety and they are becoming a problem. The stress your body is under is causing your cycle to alter and changing your eating habits." He frowned before ripping a piece of paper off his clipboard and handing it to Sam.
She bit her lip before thanking him and pulling me out the door. Once we were outside the building, she let go of my hand and rushed to the car.
"Sam what's wrong?" I asked desperately.
"Everything!" She yelled before lowering her voice. "Vic, I've been through this before. It's only going to get worse. Meds don't work for me. I've been on them for years. What am I going to do....?" Her head fell in her hands and her breath became quick.
"Well first, calm down please? Let's get back home and then we'll figure this out." I rested my hand on her shoulder before Sam started the car and we drove away.
*VAL'S P.O.V.*
Mike and I were getting ready to go out for dinner when Sam and Vic came back. I was happy to see her and ran to the door to hug her. She threw herself into my arms with a sad expression.
"What's wrong?" I asked anyone, hoping for an answer.
"She's not pregnant," Vic started, "but she needs meds again for her stress levels." He had grabbed himself and Sam a bottle of water and sat down heavily.
"Hey wait, wait, wait. What's with all this negativity? It's Val birthday guys what the fuck." Mike said.
"Mike..." I started but was cut off.
"Look, Sam admit it. You're way better since you've met Vic and been on tour with us. Once this is all over stress with be nothing to you. It's just a bump in the road right now and soon you'll be okay." Mike walked over and hugged his brother and best friend. "Don't let this ruin you."
They smiled and hugged Mike back while I sat and thought, I love Mike for this. He makes everyone and everything better.
*SAM'S P.O.V.*
Mike ranted about how disrespectful we were being about on Val's birthday. He was right, I am happy. So what exactly was I complaining about? Who have I become? I got the one thing I've always wanted and I want more. How selfish could I be?
*VAl'S P.O.V.*
My thoughts were soon interrupted. "Alright lets go!" Mike grinned and picked me up. He rushed me out the door despite my squealing and constant "let me go"s. Vic and Sam smiled and grabbed hands and followed us out the door.
When we arrived, I gasped. The dinner was nothing like I planned. We walked through a park lit only by candles and white lights. It looked almost like a winter wonderland. Sam and Vic ran ahead while Mike stuck back with me.
"Like it?" He smiled.
"Mike, I love it. This is absolutely beautiful." I could hardly manage my words.
"Oh this isn't all." He laughed and pulled me closer to a rectangle table draped in a white cloth with various foods and all my friends seated around. "Happy birthday Val." he whispered in my ear before seating me. I felt a tear slide down my cheek but it was wiped away just before everyone began to sing "Happy Birthday" and a heart shaped cake was placed in front of me.
