*SAM'S P.O.V.*
"We've been on tour for about a month now. Next week is their last tour date before the band will be on break. It's been a wonderful time; Jaime and Brittney are doing amazing, Mike got Val a beautiful sapphire necklace and Vic surprised me with roses yesterday."
I smiled to myself and looked up. Val's mom, who was practically my mom, lay in her hospital bed barely breathing. It was way past visiting hours but I worked in a half hour visit. Val was back at the bus with everyone else sound asleep. Yes, I came here alone. I wanted to see her one last time. I knew her days were growing shorter and shorter but I needed to see her. She was always there for me when my family wasn't. She'd let me stay over for days at a time just so I would be safe.
A small tear ran down my face as memories passed my mind. "Tony's girlfriend even came by." I mumbled through a broken voice and tears. I sniffled and wiped my eyes. Taking a deep breath, I held Mrs. Crimson's hand gently.
"Mom please don't go..." I said just as the monitor let out a steady beep. She was gone. Her brain tumor won the battle. I was left alone in the room. Tears streamed down my face as nurses and doctors flooded the room. Someone helped me up and out of the room. Somehow I found my way back to the bus and unconsciously woke up Val. I guess my face gave it all away because within seconds she was in tears.
The next few days were quiet. We all rarely smiled and I stopped eating. At random moments of the day I would have to run to the bathroom.
"You need to see a doctor.." Vic would tell me. But I always ignored him. It was only until today that I knew what was wrong.

I was sitting on the couch talking on the phone with my mom when Sam ran out with a straight face.
"Hey Mom, I'm gonna call you back okay?" I looked at Sam and hung up. "What's wrong?"
"We need to talk." she whispered before pulling me to the back room. Tony looked at me but all I could do was shrug my shoulders. Sam sat me down and sat next to me.
"Are you dumping me?" I asked. That was the only thing I could think of.
"No way, not now. When's the last time you remember us sleeping together?" she asked me.
I thought awhile before I said, "I don't know, a couple weeks ago. Why?"
She hit her face with her hand before she replied, "Vic. I've missed my period. It was suppose to be a week ago!" She lowered her voice before continuing, "I think I might be pregnant..."
I wasn't sure what happened but I was suddenly on the ground. "Vic are you okay?" Sam picked me up and laid me on the bed.
"Yeah I'm fine. Just... We can't be for sure." I cleared my throat and looked at Sam. "We can't be for sure..." I repeated.

It wasn't that I had a problem with being a father. It's just that I wasn't sure if I was the right guy to be a father with Sam. I lay my head in my hands and sighed. Mike walked by fast but stopped when he heard me.
"Something wrong?" He sat down next to me. I could smell the cigarette smoke coming off of his clothes.
"For sure..." I sighed again. "Sam's missed her period."
The water that occupied Mike's mouth seconds ago was now being sprayed on the bunk across from us. "What?! She what?!"
"You heard me. Mike, I don't know if I'm the right one! She could definitely be a mom but there's no way I could properly be a dad. What should we do?" I growled and threw my hands in the air. Mike put his hand on my shoulder.
"Well first, calm down and breathe. Second, you and Sam should visit the doctor tomorrow or buy a test. Find out for sure first if she actually is pregnant."
I sighed and nodded my head. "Alright. But please don't tell anyone yet?" Mike nodded and smiled.
"It'll be okay. Either way it's a win-win right?" Mike smiled and made me laugh.
"Yes it will be." I walked out to meet Sam by our tent. When I arrived, she turned around and smiled at me. Without thinking, I grabbed her waist and kissed her.
"Vic what was that all about?"
"Well in case you forgot," I smiled, "I love you." I heard her breath stop short and her eyes widened.
"I didn't forget. I love you too." Sam smiled and kissed me quick before running off to walk around with Val and Brittney. I stood there shocked and watched all the people pass me by. Sam loved me. And she didn't hesitate when she said it..
