Rachel POV
"Well, on the bright side, you don't seem so dangerous." I laughed. Lana stopped and looked at me.

"Just so you know, I was the original WarMachine. They got Iron Man's suit's nickname from me." She grinned. "Sometimes, I wish you were kidding. But I'm glad you're on my side!" I laughed.

We walked down a hallway lined with doors. I turned to the first one and opened it. The door slid open to reveal a glass door behind. There was a woman inside with two huge white wings. She turned to face us, seemingly shocked the door was open; she had a black suit on, like everyone else. Her gold hair draped over the front of the suit in a long braid like Rapunzel. She didn't say anything but watched us with razor sharp eyes.

"We need a log." I said suddenly. "What? To break the damn door down with?" She laughed. "I'm kidding. I can store a database in my mind." Lana said. She held up her hand, which I realized had holes similar to Iron Man's suit. Except they were under skin, not metal. A little map popped up.

"Okay. So we have birdbrain here." Lana laughed. We shut her door and walked across the hall. A woman sat in the middle, her hair as black as night. She look one look at us and was replaced by a giant viper. "Noope! Close it close it close it." Lana said quickly. The snake was charging at the glass. It already had a crack in it!

I quickly shut it and we moved on, marking the snake woman as a villain.

We continued all the way down the hallway, seemingly on the animal hallway. All we found were cats, a macaw, and even a bull.

"Alright. Next level?" She asked me. Suddenly, there was a loud hissss behind us.

"Uh...please tell me I'm imagining that?" Lana asked me. We turned around slowly. The viper was inching up on us.

I shot a web at her and she hissed at me, biting my web. She jammed me forward and I heard gunshots as Lana fired. "Don't hurt her!" I yelled.

Lana put away her guns and aimed with her hands. Electricity shot out from her palms as she advanced on the viper. The viper pulled me into a death grip!

I started to loose consciousness as Lana ran forward. The viper hit her with its tail. "Asshole!" She yelled at the viper. The viper looked on with amusement. I saw black creeping into my vision.

Lana POV
"Asshole!" I yelled at the viper. I hit the wall and shook my head, getting back up. It held SpiderGirl in a death grip, I could tell she was about to pass out.

I quickly jumped in the air and used my rockets on the bottom of my feet. I banked left and then quickly right, throwing off the viper. Diving back around to her front, I landed a shocked full blow on her chest. She fell back, dropping SpiderGirl in the process.

Both of them fell to the ground, not moving. I ran towards SpiderGirl and checked her pulse. It was faint, but it was there. The viper was still alive, but knocked out. I grabbed her and dragged her to her cell.

I shut the metal door and sealed the sides of it with my heat vision so she couldn't escape.

SpiderGirl was still unconscious. I picked her up, turned on my rockets and flew towards the elevator.

"I'm. I'm fine. Let's go to the next floor." SpiderGirl said, I put her down, gently on her feet.

"I'm Rachel, by the way. I forgot to introduce myself." Rachel laughed. "Lana. As you know." I laughed. She nodded.

"What happened? I feel like Doc Oc used me for origami." She laughed, stretching. "Oh! The snake!" Rachel said, jumping.

"It's gone." I said. She looked at me suspiciously. "I locked it back in its tank. I didn't kill it." I said defensively. "Alright. Alright." Rachel said in a mock surrender.

We walked to the elevator and went to the next floor. "You know, I'm kind of hoping there's some sort of method to who is placed where." I said, waiting for the doors to open.

"What makes you think there is?" Rachel asked. "Well, considering the entire last floor was filled with animals? I think we just might have a pretty high chance." I said a tiny bit sarcastically.

She put on her mask and didn't reply. I smirked as we walked to the first door. I opened it and looked in. There was a man who was completely gold. He had Raven black hair.

He was wearing a black jumpsuit like everyone else. His eyes were closed and he seemed to be meditating. "What do you think he is?" I asked Rachel. "Some sort of Starwars knockoff thing?" She laughed.

He opened his eyes and stood up. He had piercing blue eyes and looked on with cool curiosity. We stared at each other for what seemed to be an eternity. "I'm going to open the door." I managed to say at last. I hit the switch and some alarms went off as both doors were lowered.

He stepped forward, not breaking eye contact. "Okay weirdo." I said awkwardly looking away.

"I am Halcyon, or Halc for short." He grinned. I stuck out my hand and he looked on cautiously. "Unless you want a gold hand, I'd suggest not shaking mine." He laughed.

I nodded, putting my hand down. "So, Halcyon what do you do? Other than be a ripoff of King Mitus?" I laughed. "Oh very funny. You're a ripoff of Robocop as far as I can tell." He snapped back. I rolled my eyes.

"Excuse me, opposed to you I'm at least still somewhat human." I snapped back. "Oh very funny. You don't think I'm human? Okay well you may be correct but I'll have you know that I once was. So ha! It counts." He laughed.

"You know, at first I thought you were some mysterious gold man, but now I just see you're a major douchebag." I snapped back. "Would both of you stop bickering? Good lord it's like trying to deal with two sexually frustrated teenagers!" Rachel yelled.

"Considering you are one, that's a bad sign." I snapped. "Okay. I don't have to deal with this." Rachel said, moving to the next door.
