Thankfully, no one was drunk.
Yet.I was greeted with all the usual smiles and birthday beats from Myrora.
After all relaxing, laughing and talking for a bit, we had to get the business out of the way.
It was time to see the Queen. We told the others we'd see them later and headed off. It was only me, Kö, Jake and Nim going.
We all entered the rift, giddy to spend time visiting one if the most famous, well-known worlds of them all.
True, I still thought it had a ridiculous name but it sounded awesome!
Like something out of one of those fantasy books or a crappy online rpg.We arrived in the centre of the town, four huge, white marble pillar around us that cut into four different directions. South to the village, West out into the wilderness, East into a quaint little market and North straight up into the castle.
Though we all wanted to see the market, we decided the Queen was a little more important.
The pathway leading up to the castle was no less than glorious. All of it was white, clean and fresh. It shone compared to the town below.
And the castle...oh, the castle...Like its landmark pillars, it too was all marble. So tall and grand, it was crazy to think it only belonged to two people.
Though honestly, the King didn't seem so important, his powers meaning little to none when compared with a String-Ruler, or so I'd been told.
Four guards stood before us, two in front of each door.
All heavily armoured with large swords though I'd heard this place relied far more on their powers.
So the swords were probably just for show. There wasn't really many guards around. The main town was very trusting and constraint. It was near impossible to live there without being a great fighter.
But the townsfolk seemed happy enough. After Nim confirmed our identities, the doors were slowly craned open by the guards.
I'll admit, the feeling I got as that royal, sweet air hit us from inside was...incredible.
Our clear, blue sky became dark ceiling, layered with golden embroidered patterns.
The marble steps became red, velvety carpet that practically sunk under our feet.
The inside was dark, perfectly lit by beacons of fire that gave the entire place its brilliant feel.
And at the back was the throne.
And upon that thone...was the Queen. With glistening, beautiful purple eyes and the perfect royal smile, she stood up.
"Great Warriors and Guardians! I welcome all of you to Kakadelia!"
She gleamed as we all walked forward. And as we stood before her, I noticed something.
I mean, I don't want to seem rude or anything, but I'd always assumed that these kind of royal folk (especially the attractive ones) would be quite...slim.
Nim must have noticed me staring because she leaned over to me and whispered.
"She's pregnant, silly!"...oh...
The Queen stepped down and stood right before us.
But...she didn't look much older than we were...One by one, she moved down the line to greet us all individually.
"Your name, sir?"
"Jake. A Warrior."
Jake answered, his face stone still and intense."It is an honour to meet you, Jake our noble Warrior."
