-James-
My eyes slid open, stung by the blinding light bursting from behind the ajar curtains. A streak of light that bled through their split fabric, boring into my vision.
I sat up with a stretch, my mind fuzzy after a night of empty dreams.
Running my hands through my hair, I walked over and pulled the curtains open.
Huh...snow.
Cool.I slid my shirt over my head and...wait...
Snow?!
After checking again and rubbing my eyes several times, I could confirm that yes.
It was snowing. In the middle of summer!?
"Oh good. We can make a snowman."
With an embarrassingly high-pitched yelp, I clutched the window ledge behind me and spun around only to see Blank sat on my bed.
"W-w-what?!"
"Can we call him Kano?"
"What are you talking about?!"
"Kano the snowman. Duh."
She shrugged, closing her eyes.Slowing down my breaths, I began to relax and let my fingers slip away from the ledge.
"...Blank...why is it snowing?"
"Because it is cold."
I sighed and fell into my desk chair, unable to process all the strange things that had happened within the last thirty seconds.
Guess that's one way to wake yourself up in the morning.Complete general mindfuck.
Blank stared at me, tilting her head a little.
"...does your head hurt?""No."
"Then why are you holding it as such?"
"Because I'm...confused, I suppose."
"Why?"
I looked back at her.
"Blank, you do understand that it's summer, right?""Yep."
"And it's snowing?"
"Well, it's not as if it's natural snow. Clearly someone made it."
"Clearly? Wait, how do you know it's not natural?"
"Because it is summer. Duh."
Okay, she got me there.
I couldn't help smiling a little when she said 'duh'. Hearing someone like her sound so casual and modern was just...odd, to say the least.Slipping on some socks, I began to head out of the room.
"...are you not going to see the blood-haired girl?"
Blank asked, levitating off of my bed and floating over beside me."Köleil? Nah. I'll just let her rest. She's been looking pretty tired lately."
"...oh..."
Blank muttered as we got into the elevator and it slowly chugged down.
"...so...how stupid are you exactly?""Um...excuse me?"
I chuckled, thinking she was joking."The Eclipse is your partner. Romantically, correct?"
