My long blonde hair cascaded down my shoulders and back. I tried to fix my bangs, as I noticed tiny curls at the end of a few strands of hair as they fell perfectly on my chest. Someone knocked on the door, but I still focused on my getting ready process.

"Yes?" I asked, as I took the red lip liner between my fingers and gently outlined my lips, forming a perfect cupid's bow.

"Mr. Conor is right downstairs waiting for you." Alondra informed, she finished her sentence with a warming smile, as usual. There was nothing this woman said without a finishing smile.

"I'll be down in a second." I spoke and she left the room immediately, softly closing the door right behind her. I finished dabbing red lipstick on my lips, I pressed them together and then, puckered them. Before leaving, I gave myself one last glance in the mirror, smiling at the reflection. I headed out my room, shutting the door the exact way Alondra did.

"Wow." Conor said, as he watched me walk down the stairs.

"That was the reaction I was hoping for." I joked. We both chuckled and then, his hand pulled me in, wrapping me up. His lips gently touched mine and after that, we both smiled at each other. I was so in love with him. He was everything I could ever hope to want and have and with every kiss I felt that same feeling coming from him.

"Let's go." We walked out of the house, hand in hand. Conor drove for about ten minutes, and even though the car ride was silent, it didn't feel uncomfortable at all. I was actually expecting the question tonight, could be after the get together or during, either way was welcomed. I just wanted to have the ring in my finger, just to have some proof that he wanted to be with me for the rest of his life as much as I wanted. The gates opened for us and as we drove up the driveway I noticed the house was bigger than mine. Ivy grew on the stoned walls, making it look really beautiful. I've always had a fascination for that.

"This house is beautiful." I observed. I had my wide eyed gaze on. Conor parked the car in front of the front door.

"You look amused," He chuckled. "Like you haven't seen a house like this one before." I chuckled too.

"Yeah, I don't know I just love the stoned walls and the ivy." I mentioned. He smiled at me. We got out of the car and he rushed to where I was. Conor grabbed my hand and we walked inside of the house. As he opened the door for me, a rushing breeze flew between our bodies, making me shiver. He wrapped me in his arms and then, he slowly pecked my forehead.

"I love you." He murmured, making my heart race a thousand miles per hour.

"I love you too." I smiled and then I placed a kiss on his chapped lips. After our short romantic moment, he shut the door.

"You'll love Jackson, we've been friends since we were in middle school," Conor explained, as we walked toward the social section of the house. "We became friends because we found out we got played by the same girl, remember I told you about that?" He chuckled at the ground. I nodded looking at him, smiling. "It was hilarious. Well, at last, at first it hurt like hell." I chuckled.

"Conor! You are finally here!" A tall guy with beautiful grey eyes and dark brown hair exclaimed, as he stood up from his seat. Conor let go of my hand as they both reached for a hug, patting on backs were involved. The rest of the people focused for a while on them, but they went to their conversations shortly after the encounter.

"This is my girlfriend," Conor said, as he touched my shoulder. "Taylor."

"Nice to meet you Jackson." I said, shaking hands with him as we both offered each other a smile.

"Likewise Taylor, let me tell you something," He turned to face Conor. "This dude right here," He spoke, putting his hand on Conor's shoulder. "Doesn't stop talking about you," The three of us chuckled, I blushed. "Please feel at home. There's drinks at the bar, food at the round table over there," He said pointing at it. "And you can sit wherever you guys please. Enjoy." He left the two of us there. I started to look everywhere around us.

"Want something to drink, love?" Conor asked, speaking in my ear.

"Vodka and Cranberry would be nice." He nodded and walked toward the bar. I sat at one of the empty chairs on the empty table, since I knew absolutely no one, I felt completely out of place. I'm used to Conor's friends, the ones from work, just not these. Many beautiful girls with long hair, smooth legs, short dresses were here and it wasn't normal out of me, but I felt completely intimidated by how gorgeous all of them were.

"Here's your drink," Conor said, pecking my cheek. He sat at the chair next to mine. I looked at the ice cubes floating in the soft red drink. I smiled and then head my sight up to his eyes. "Is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I mean I know no one here and I just feel out of place, like I don't belong." I explained.

"You are not this way, is there anything else?" He asked, furrowing his eyebrows at me. I took a sip of my drink.

"Nothing, I just don't feel myself tonight," I pressed my lips together. "Can I have the keys? I think I left my phone in the car."

"Sure." He took them out of his pocket, putting them on my hand. I smiled and stood up from the table, leaving my drink with Conor. I had to go through a lot of the house to reach the outsides, as I reached the front door, more guests were entering. One of them held the door for me and I thanked him with a smile. I shut the door carefully and slowly walked toward the car. I unlocked the car with the unlock button and sat on the driver's seat for a while. I didn't left my phone in the car, but I really didn't want to be there. My hopes in getting the ring were slowly dying. My thoughts were rudely interrupted by the sound of a car's engine. I got out of Conor's car and let my sight focus on the blue sports car parked a few steps away from me. A familiar silhouette got out, as I noticed his hand was intertwined his hair.

"Ms. Swift," He mentioned and then he flashed a smile. "Good evening."

"Harold, you work for this family too?" I asked and regretting it seconds after. I cleared my throat. He walked closer and as he did, he eyed my short strapless red dress, making me feel uncomfortable. I gulped, he smiled at the ground and then licked his lips.

"Yeah," He smiled, no teeth. "I'm here to give Jackson his car. He likes to drive it every weekend, high speed and everything." He explained, I just nodded.

"That's great." We both stood right in front of each other, without transmitting any sound. The crickets chirping were the only thing my ears could capture and the music playing from the get together. Drake's 'One Dance' to be more specific.

"Could you please give these to Jackson?" He asked, handing me the keys. I looked at them for a few seconds. "I don't want to interrupt the party. Not my scene." I chuckled softly.

"I don't know him that much, but sure, why not." I pressed my lips together and as I took the keys, I could feel the soft touch of his hand on mine.

"Taylor?" I heard and as I raise my sight and drift my hand away from Harold's, I noticed it was Conor. "Did you find your phone? Who's this?" I cleared my throat. I noticed his eyebrows were furrowed.

"He just came over to leave these keys for your friend Jackson and Harold fixed my car this morning." I said, walking over to him. I put my arm on his back and the other around his belly. He wrapped me with one arm and kissed my forehead. This was a classic jealous Conor move. I just chuckled.

"Oh, the mechanic," He said, in such a condescending way. "I'll make sure Jackson gets these. Now let's go back inside," I nodded. He couldn't keep his sight away from Harold, and as we got inside I smiled at Harold over my shoulder. From the corner of my eye I could notice he smiled back. Conor shut the door. "He likes you." He stated. That was a total surprise.

"What?"

"He does and I can't stand another man looking at you the way he was. I don't want you to go to the mechanic ever again. That's why your dad has people, so you shouldn't do those things." He pecked my forehead and started walking. I stood by the door, shocked at his words. This was the first time he was ever prohibiting something to me and I didn't like it. At all.
