My alarm went off at six in the morning. The reason? I wanted to see Harold and let him know that nothing was going to step between us from now on. I got up from the bed and grabbed my hoodie. I was going to take a shower after seeing him, I was too excited. I didn't want to take any longer. I grabbed the car keys in my hand and got out of the house towards the car as fast as I could. I didn't want my father or mother to watch me getting out of the house at this time of the day. I got inside and started the engine, I drove down the driveway and I had Stay by Kygo as background music.
"You wanna leave her," I sang along, out of tune, but car rides are supposed to go that way. "Don't wanna hurt nobody!"I sang, but I was finally arriving at my final destination, so I turned the volume down. I parked the car and unbuckled my seat belt. I took a deep breath before getting out. My hair was up in a messy bun and my face looked tired, but I didn't care. I was about to see Harold, that was all that traveled around in my mind. I opened the door and got out. And yes, it was early, but he was already working his ass off. I stood for a few seconds, watching him wipe sweat out of his forehead. He looked hot and totally out of this world, like he was a total dream.
"Taylor?" I noticed he said by the shape his mouth took when he spoke. He furrowed his eyebrows, as if he was just making sure it was me. A smile formed upon his lips and the same effect came upon my lips after. I kept walking towards him. He threw one of his tools to the ground and ran to me. We were face to face, both smiling at each other and our eyes not drifting apart for a split second. "If you are here, you must bring good news. Am I right?"
"Yes," I chuckled, looking down at the ground. I walked the steps missing toward him. My arms were around his neck, I interlocked my fingers. "I can't wait to repeat last night, but in another place." He blushed and then, he cupped my cheeks and kissed my lips, softly. His lips felt like rose petals and his hands, his touch was breathless. He didn't have to do much to get me high. He stopped the kiss.
"So, you and your boyfriend are over?" I nodded, biting my lower lip.
"I gave back the ring and well," I pressed my lips together, showing off my ringless finger. "He somehow knows it's you I left him for. He wasn't thrilled," I rolled my eyes. He chuckled, nervously. "He almost got both of us killed. It was awful," I widened my gaze, as I could easily recall every second of that moment. "I feel sorry for him though. I broke his heart last night and I didn't expect his reaction to be so negative." He slightly nodded, just as if he was processing my words very carefully.
"This is crazy," He took a deep breath, rubbing his temples. "He almost killed you just because you were breaking up with him? I mean how?"
"I mean, he first drove us off the road and we talked like two civilized human beings," I was using hand gestures. "So, all of a sudden he started to get really mad and then, that's where it all started. I swear, the seatbelt would've been useless in that moment," I shook my head, trying to remove the memory. "I thought things we're going to go down okay, not right, just okay, since I was being completely honest," I paused. "Guess I was wrong." I shrugged.
"Yeah," He nodded, slightly. "You're right. But he can't go on and play God and decide if you are going to live or not."
"But in the end it all went down okay," I smiled, reassuring him. "I'm okay and I'm even better now that I'm here, talking to you about this whole situation," I bite my lip. "What if we go make out on the back seat of my car?" I pecked his lips.
"Okay." He gave me a flirty smile and we walked towards my car. We got inside and the next thing I knew, he slammed is soft lips onto mine, making me lose all control. He barely gave me time and space to react, but I was thankful he didn't. His tongue played with mine in such synchronization, my hands were tangled with his hair, as his strong movements declared he wanted more. I laid with my back on the seat as he positioned himself on top of me. My arms reached up and found their way to be tangled around his neck. I moaned, softly, and a second after I felt his hands under the top part of my silky sleepwear.
"Harold." I mumbled, trying to regain my breath and composure back, interrupting this magical moment between the two of us.
"I won't pressure you into anything, but I want it to happen." He confessed, looking at me straight into the eye. It pierced right into my soul and weakness was all I could feel in the moment.
"I want to," I took a deep breath. "Just not here. I don't want our first time to be in a car. At your job." We both chuckled and then his hands were suddenly not touching my skin anymore. I inhaled sharply and as I did, he placed his head on my chest. I kissed the top of his head and played with his hair. I could feel his heart beating and it wasn't a normal rate, it was pumping blood fast. I wonder if he could feel mine in that moment, because I felt it just the same.
"What does making out in bathroom stalls and back seat of cars and you leaving your boyfriend for me make us?" He asked, he raised his head to make eye contact. I chuckled.
"I think it makes us whatever we want us to be." I responded. I pecked his cheek right after.
"And what do you want us to be?"
"Everything," I pressed my lips together. "You know?" I slightly chuckled. "I can't stop thinking about you, ever since I met you," I was hesitating to be honest this quickly. But it didn't feel wrong or awkward, it came naturally. "And I know it's too soon to say that we are in love," I scoffed. "And I know we are not," I explained. "But I can't get you out of my mind and I know you want to be with me as much as I want to be with you, and if that's not something huge to fight for then I seriously don't know what is." He kissed me again. His hand brushing my cheek, delicately. Like I was some porcelain doll. It drove me insane, the way he treated me roughly one second and the next, he was staring at me like I was made out of diamonds and gold.
"Yeah, I guess you're right, huh?" I smiled. "So I think as time goes by we will find out what we are right?" I nodded. He stared at my hands, as if he was thinking deeply into this. "I have to tell you," He was still staring. "I'm really excited about this. My heart is pumping so fast." He placed my hand upon his chest and indeed, his heart was racing. It felt nice, just being here, having a glimpse of his heartbeat. I didn't want this to end in burning flames and the thought of it ending that way, scared me.
