He bared his teeth, bawling his fists up as her ice fingers snaked around his neck.
"I told you before, many years ago, I don't love you anymore. I can't be with you anymore."
There were so many words he couldn't quite form, but he saw the tinge of sadness in her round grey eyes.
"I can't help you then.." she clicked her tongue, pulling out her phone to call her driver back.
Lust closed his eyes, wondering what the consequences would be from his next actions.
He hated what he was about to do, thinking all the while of the sweet brown haired beauty who had captured his heart.
This was for her.
And for him, and his freedom.

He gripped Aria's arm and held her wrist to stop her from typing.
Her surprised face softened as she saw Lust's lips cascade down to hers.
Lust fought back bile in the back of his throat as the last thing he ever wanted to do was about to happen.

The last time Cas was this nervous was....was when she forgot to write down a flower choice for one bride and her wedding was just a few days away.
Lust had grown on her since they had met, she didn't mind that her work might have to share the spotlight with him.
She didn't mind that he was a supernatural being fully capable of killing anyone, including her.
She didn't even mind his past, the fact he admitted all the women he'd slept with was proof enough that he cared.
What she didn't like was the fact he seemed explicit with her now and yet he said he would be in contact with his ex.
He hadn't texted her since he left her apartment a couple days ago, which was odd.

She blew out a long breath, picking up her cell and dialing his number.
"Hello?" An unfamiliar voice answered on the other side.
Immediate stabs of pain hit Cassidy's heart, upon hearing the feminine voice.
"Hello? Is anyone there?" The voice again questioned, but Cas was at a loss for words.
Tears burning down her face and her mouth dry, she clicked the call off, her hand shakily placing the phone on her counter.
Her thoughts bombarded her consciousness, telling her how stupid she was. If she answered his phone it could only mean one thing.
He was a womanizer and would always be a womanizer, she thought she could escape the affection, but she had given him a piece of her.
A one night stand gone awry, the guilt and shame piled on her brick after brick, as if she suffocating under her own mistake; and she was.

She hovered over her phone dialing Kat, hoping she'd be awake.
"Hey Cas-" she was cut off as Cas soft cries echoed into the line.

"What's wrong??" Her friend's concerned voice prompted, Cas wiped tears away trying her best to keep herself together.
"Drinks," Cas seemed to say, the one word she mumbled out enough to give her friend a clue to her intentions.

"I'll come pick you up, okay? Give me fifteen minutes."

Cas nodded to no one, hanging up the call to go clean up.
She gazed at her tired reflection in the mirror, the eyes of someone she didn't know scrutinized every little flaw, reminding her why someone would cheat on her.

Your thighs touch.

Your one eyebrow is higher than the other.

You have too many freckles.

Alcohol. Alcohol would make her negativity go away, or at least she hoped. Even if it had been a short amount of time Cas instantly found herself missing the touch of his beard on her chin, and the warmth of his body next to hers.
She lazily shook her head, she had to stop the reminiscing and the memories of their intimate moments together. No matter how amazing, she had to move on. She had to forget Lust.

"One more shot!!" Kat yelled into the loud, smoke filled bar. The bartender looked annoyed but he poured her two more shots of vodka.
"How many does this make?" Cas knew the answer already, she was swimming underwater clouded with three mixed drinks and about to be six shots.
"I don't know, but after this I have a surprise," Kat sloppily giggled, taking back her eighth shot.
She shakily grabbed Cassidy's hand and pulled her to the bathroom.
Cassidy's eyes bulged out of her head as she saw Kat take a baggy of white powder out of her purse.

"Kat...I...I can't do that," whispering in the empty stall.
"It's not going to kill you. I promise you'll have fun. You'll forget all about what's his name."
She handed over her debit card, lining up two lines of the white dust.
Cas was not this girl.
But drunk Cas was so different than sober Cas.
She bravely took the card and breathed in the first line.
Her senses buzzed, immediately a rush of energy and alertness broke through the drunk barrier.
She took the next line sending her senses into overdrive.

Her brain blew into another dimension, giving her the ability to be anybody she wanted. She felt amazing. Powerful. Like she was invincible.

Now she was a supernatural being.

Kat grinned, taking in two lines herself, immediately on the same high as Cas. "Lets dance!" She piped, pulling Cas out of the bathroom to the dance floor.

The club vibrated within Cassidy's body, filling her with a new type of energy she had never experienced in her life.
In that moment she didn't care about consequences, didn't care about her job, and most importantly didn't care about Lust.

She never understood how Kat could hold a good job and be a party girl, like some crazy Jekyll and Hyde, Cas could not keep her shit together.

Kat continued to drink, leaving her a blasted mess of a human, while Cassidy's high was slowly heading down, the burn in her throat and nose more prominent. She immediately felt sick once the high left, like a train had hit her senses back to normal letting her body deal with the consequences.

"I'll call a cab," She spoke to Kat, who incoherently mumbled, on the edge of passing out. Cas propped her arm under her friend, trying to keep her thoughts away from puking.
Her hands fumbled with dialing but she had successfully called the cab before she saw the words Lust on the screen of her phone.
He was calling her.
She let it go to voicemail, but he tried again.
And again.
Cas groaned in frustration as her mind and stomach reeled from her night of fun, instantly wishing she was home in her warm bed with her fluffy kitty.
The yellow cab rolled up just in time as Kat puked her guts onto the road before stumbling into the car, with a very confused Cas in tow.
The night she had wanted to help her forget was fading away and the leftovers were hanging on, yet not enough to block Lust from Cassidy's mind during the car ride.
Part of her wanted to hear what that jackass had to say, and the other half wanted to kick him in the teeth and chop his dick off.

She sighed, debating on clicking on the little voicemail button telling her she had a new message.
She closed her eyes as she clicked the button, holding her breath as it started to play.
