Chapter 16 - the mask man

Sabi ni Drake after ng business meeting niya pupuntahan niya ako. Bakit ang tagal niya? I'm just here waiting at my office. Pag ako nainip pupunta ulit ako sa opisina ni Dad at wawasakin ko ang pinto. Nagpafile ako ng mga papers sa filing cabinet. Itetext ko na lang si Drake na uuna na ako sa kanya. Gusto ko na kasing magpahinga. After fixing my things, I went out of my office. Sumakay na ako ng elevator. Pagbukas nito, dire-diretso akong naglakad palabas ng company. Hindi naman nagrereply si Drake. Baka marami pa silang pinag-uusapan ni Dad. Since wala akong driver ngayon, kaya ako ang magdadrive ng sasakyan ko. Marunong naman ako mag-drive kahit wala si Manong Cardo. Minsan nga lang may pagkatamad ako mag-drive kaya minsan nagtataxi na lang ako. I hop in my car. Parang may kakaiba sa car ko. When I looked back to my car I saw a man wearing a mask. I was shocked then I tried to open the door of my car to get out but he grabbed my arm.

"Don't you ever dare try to escape or else you'll die," may pagbabanta sa boses ng lalaki.

Iniisip ko ngayon kung paano ako tatakas sana pala hinintay ko na lang si Drake. I'm just wondering kung paano nakapasok sa kotse ang lalaking hindi ko naman kilala. Siguro carnapper siya.

"What do you want me to do?" matapang ngunit medyo kinakabahan kong tanong.

"May pinapasabi lang si Raven sa'yo, if you won't stop cheating him around, hindi mo alam kung ano ang magagawa niya." I frowned at him. Ang kapal ng mukha niya. Sino bang mukhang cheater sa aming dalawa? He's really a crazy manwhore.

"Do you think he's not a cheater? He can't blame me if I could do the same thing like what he's doing, now tell me does he have the right to threaten me?"

The man just stared blankly at me. Maybe, he realized that I'm right. Not actually seeing his whole damn face but I've seen his eyes cold as ice.

"I'm just doing my job young lady, if you don't mind I'm gonna get out of this freaking damn car."

Did he just say that? He's insulting my poor precious car in front of me. I can't take it.

"Really, binayaran ka ba ni Raven para lang pagbantaan ako, kung binayaran ka niya, kaya din kitang bayaran, magkano ba?" tiim bagang kong sabi.

"I don't need money, just obey what I've said a while ago, it's for your own sake." He said with a cold expression.

"Sino ka naman para malaman kung anong makakabuti sa akin at hindi? If you don't need money, what comes to your crazy mind to get here in my car." I'm giving my glares at him.

"It's none of your business young lady, just do what he wants so you won't regret." He gave me his cold stares before he get out of my car.

I gasped. Why should I obey that manwhore? The nerve. Pinaandar ko na ang sasakyan ko. Sa may di kalayuan nakita ko si Drake. He signaled and waved his hand when he saw my car. He's on his way here. Wrong timing Drake. Sana kanina ka pa lumabas jan. Buti na lang hindi ako ganoong natakot sa lalaking pumasok sa car ko. A little bit fear but not that much. He's knocking on the window of my car so I opened it. He hopped into my car.

"Did you receive my text message?" I asked him coldly.

"Yeah, I'm so sorry marami lang kaming pinag-usapan ng Dad mo about business." he said cheerfully. He flashed a smile on me. "Buti na lang naabutan kita dito."

Nakakagaan sa pakiramdam kapag nagssmile siya.

"Oo nga, buti naabutan mo ako." Bakas sa mukha ko ang pag-aalala. Nahihibang na ba talaga si Raven?

"Mukhang worried ka AJ, nararamdaman ko yon." He tapped my left shoulder. Medyo nawala yung bigat sa dibdib ko. Si Drake yung tipo ng tao na pwede mong sabihan ng nararamdaman mo at kung anong problema mo. Para siyang si Enzo madaling kagaanan ng loob. I just shook my head as a response.

"Basta pag may problema, I'm just here." He held my hand to comfort me. I'm blushing right now. He chuckled when he saw that I'm blushing. Tinanggal ko yung kamay niya sa pagkakahawak nito at umiwas ng tingin. Ilang minutong katahimikan ang pumailanlang nang magsalita ulit si Drake.

"Gutom ka na ba? Kain tayo sa labas, treat ko." And he smiled widely. I nodded as a response. I started the engine and I drove the car going to somewhere.

Dito kami dinala ng pagkakataon. Dinala kami ng aking kamay dito sa bar. Yan ang naisip ko habang nagmamaneho kaya nandito kami ngayon.

"Why did you bring me here?" nagtatakang tanong ni Drake.

"Matagal tagal na rin kasi akong hindi pumupunta dito para magsaya, if you don't want to join with me you can leave now." I said exasperatedly.

"No, it's okey. I'll stay here with you if you want to." Nakaupo lang kami sa stool. I'm just staring to all the bitches and man whores dancing on the floor.

"Bakit mo naman naisipang pumunta dito?" Marahil nagtataka siya kung bakit ko naisipang pumunta dito. Gusto ko lang mag-unwind. Ano bang pumasok sa utak ni Raven para pagbantaan ako ng ganun. Is he watching me? Alam niya lahat ng kilos at galaw ko. Na-stress ang beauty ko sa kanya.

"Gusto ko lang mag-unwind Drake. Dito mo na lang ako i-treat, pwede ba yon?"

He just shrugged his shoulders. Umorder na kami ng drinks. Beer lang ang inorder ni Drake at cocktail naman ang sa akin.

Tahimik lang kaming umiinom. After few minutes, the music became solemn. While drinking his beer, he looked at me and offered his hand.

"May I dance with you?" Drake asked while smiling.

"Yeah, sure." We went to the dance floor. He pulled me closer as he put his hands on my waist. I put my hands on his shoulders. We swayed to the sound of music and went to the flow as it sounds so sweetly in our ears. Drake is looking directly into my eyes down to my lips. I gulped to his gaze. Screw that Xandra. He doesn't like you. Does he wanna try to kiss me? Why was he looking to my kissable lips? I felt conscious so I looked down.

"I'm so sorry," he whispered.

"Why?" I asked him obliviously.

"I think you're conscious, but I can't help it Xandra."

"If you can't help it then say it." He lean closer to me. I could really feel his breath.

"You are really damn hot gorgeous Xandra."

I blushed.
