"Wake up," she smiled fondly a few days later, sitting down beside him on the bed and tracing her fingertips across his face.
"You okay?" He asked, he knew she wouldn't wake him after a double shift without reason,
"Yes," she smiled, "that house we looked at yesterday has a viewing available today,"
He raised an eyebrow and turned onto his back, his hand toying with her curled hair,
"No you don't," she told him, and he wordlessly slipped his hand into her hair, giving her no choice but to lean down and allow him to kiss her,
"Jacob," she sighed, before laughing as he somehow managed to pull her and roll her over so she lay beside him,
He pulled back the covers and ran his hands down her body so he pulled off her dress, and removed her tights,
"We have to view the house soon," she laughed inbetween his kisses and before she knew it she lay completely naked beneath him,
He straddled her and ran his hands teasingly up and down her sides, "want me to stop?" He asked, groaning slightly as she arched her back and lifted her arms up over her head,
"No," she smiled as he pressed his lips firmly against hers.
Little over an hour later they stood outside the house that was located on the outskirts of Holby.
"Stop touching your hair," he whispered against her ear as they waited for the estate agent to finish his phone call,
"It looked good until you got hold of me," she whispered and he laughed,
"Oh, you still look good sweetcheeks," he grinned as he took her hand.
"What do you think?" She asked and he raised an eyebrow as he handed her a glass of wine and sat opposite her.
"I think it's the first place you haven't complained about," he smiled and she rolled her eyes and slipped onto his lap,
"If I remember rightly, it was you who didn't like the last two,"
He smiled and wrapped his arms around her waist,
"It wasn't I didn't like them, I just didn't think they were the right places for us,"
She smiled, sitting down beside him, "you know, there's more then enough room in the downstairs bedroom for your gym equipment,"
"And there's the kitchen island you want... So you can sit and drink wine and watch me cook," he smiled, sipping his drink before tucking her hair behind her ear, "and a bay window, a nice garden, and the main bedroom is huge,"
"I like it," she told him, "what's bothering you?"
He watched how she didn't drop her gaze from his and realised that she could read him the way he could read her,
"I like it," he admitted,
"But," she added, placing her hand on his thigh, "come on Jacob, you're usually so honest,"
"The money..." He told her as he sighed, "I don't want you to think that..."
"What?"
"I'm just a nurse Connie," he told her, "I can't quite believe we won't have a mortgage and we will have extra money... and..."
"If anything happens between us I won't leave you with nothing," she told him and he shook his head,
"It's not that..."
She sat quietly, watching how he thought through what he was trying to say, "I should be providing for you..."
She squeezed his hand, "the way I feel when I'm with you means far more to me that how much you earn," She told him honestly, "besides, you saved my life remember,"
He smiled and held her close to him, "I love you,"
She kissed him once, "I know, and I love you,"
