Playing with fire

Surprise

"Before you go any further close your eyes," he smiled as she got in and hung up her coat,

"What..."

"Eyes closed," he told her, leading her out to the garden and wrapping his arms around her,

She opened them to reveal Charlie, Zoe, Rita, Iain and Robyn as well as their new neighbours and acouple of Jacobs friends she hadn't yet met,

"Jacob, how did you get this done in a day?" She asked, her face lightening up as she looked over the garden. The last time she'd seen it had been only grass, and now there were flower beds, garden furniture and decking. 

"Planning... And help of some old friends,"

She kissed his cheek before greeting her colleagues and friends,

She watched Jacob starting up the barbecue and Rita smiled,

"So you really had no idea?""

When I left yesterday morning the garden was only grass," she admitted, "I don't know how he managed to keep this quiet,"

"Can I help?" She asked, leaning into him as he cooked and kissing his cheek,

"Yeah, stop distracting me when I'm cooking," he grinned and she smiled,

"At least let me grab you a drink,"

"Thank you, but give me a proper kiss first,"

Years ago she would have immediately pulled away, she'd never really been comfortable with public affection, but with him she didn't need to think twice,

She placed her hand on his cheek and kissed his mouth firmly,

"That's all your getting for now," she smiled before disappearing off into the kitchen,

"For now, I like the sound of that," he laughed to Iain who shook his head,

"I'm not sure how you managed that one mate,"

"Me neither."

A few hours later Connie, Jacob and Jacobs two friends were sat, still outside, drinking the last of the wine. Connie handed them all blankets before she sat down in the space beside Jacob, curling her legs up underneath her,

"You know, we've never seen Jacob like this about anyone," Charlie grinned,

"You must be some woman,"

Connie smiled, "thanks for doing the garden, this is exactly how I wanted it,"

"You're very welcome," Adam smiled,

"You're welcome to stay in the spare room If you need too,"

They all laughed as Jacob shook his head,

"On that note I'll book is a taxi now,"

"Your friends are nice," she smiled as she finished wiping down the kitchen side,

He placed the last of the Tupperware into the fridge and handed her her glass of wine before grabbing two bottles of water,

"I've wanted to do this all evening," he smiled as they reached their room and pulled her towards him,

"You look beautiful in this dress," he smiled, his fingers toying with the thin black straps,

She undid his shirt, slipping it over his shoulders, before stepping closer to him and slowly undoing his trousers,

"Connie," she kissed him, silencing him and pushing him against the wall. She watched as he removed the remainder of his clothes and she leaned up, kissing him once hard on the mouth.

He groaned as her mouth worked its way down his body, his hands tangling in her hair.

They ended up a tangled heap a few hours later. It was now the early hours of the morning and they couldn't get enough of the feel of each other.

A sleepy haze had overcome the pair and she lay in front of him, arching her back as his hands ran firmly up and down her sides. She automatically moved one leg forward, allowing him closer as he moved within her again,

He slipped his hand in between her legs and she couldn't help crying out his name.

She turned in his arms and snuggled into him,

He pressed his mouth against her forehead his hand running gently through her hair, "what's the time?" She uttered and he leaned over her,

"Four,"

She kissed his mouth before pulling the him sheet over them, "I love you," she whispered and he smiled,

"I love you," he watched her as she fell asleep, "I will love you forever,"
