Did you believe it?
I didn't know what to believe at that time... There are things that I didn't know how to explain. I needed time to process everything. The question is, do you believe it? Do you think he took Ed's limbs?
The proof was there...
Perhaps... But I believed there might be more to it, and finding it out was more trouble for us than not.
Humankind cannot gain anything without first giving something in return. To obtain, something of equal value must be lost. That is alchemy's first law of Equivalent Exchange. In those days, we really believed that to be the world's one and only truth.
Alphonse Elric
Lie awake in bed at night
And think about your life
Do you want to be different?
Try to let go of the truth
The battles of your youth
'Cause this is just a game
Everyone's looking at me
I'm running 'round in circles
I've got to remember this is just a game
It's a beautiful lie
It's a perfect denial
Such a beautiful lie to believe in
So beautiful, beautiful lie makes me
Beautiful Lie- 30 Seconds to Mars
So Ed chased after forest boy? How did that work out?
As well as you would expect. Meaning he got himself in trouble, actually... No. It was more like someone was trying to start a conflict with him, but it would only get him so far. This guy was... Bizarre to say the very least.
Al, Yuki, and I sprinted through the streets, trying to find Ed and the boy. Considering how tense things became, I wasn't sure what exactly happened, or what was going to occur. The one thing I hoped for is that Ed doesn't do something stupid. Izumi will be furious with our actions already, there was no need to give her more reasons to slap us all silly. Upon arriving to where Ed was I saw him listening to someone speak to him. A scowl was locked on his face as he swiftly brought his foot to the man's nose.
The stranger let out a yell and staggered back from Ed. "Ungrateful bastard! I'm trying to take you to safety!" He yelled while holding his now swelling and red nose. Red sticking out of the green scaly skin he was covered in. "That means you, your friends, and that freak you call a brother."
While Al walked closer to the weird man, Yuki gritted her teeth together and marched closer to the man. Al lifted him up by the collar of his cloak while Yuki snapped and forced a cry out of his lips. "Now, who are you calling a freak?" Yuki questioned, daggers practically coming out of her eyes.
