Before we knew it summer was here.
Summer proved to be pretty fun for us; we would go to the beach and amusement parks (even though I absolutely hate roller coasters) and just enjoy each others company. We spent everyday together and it just felt right. We felt right.
I guess you could say we didn’t rush into things quite as fast this time, because I really fell back in love with you on those days; when we would drive down the streets with the windows rolled down, and the music blasting, just laughing together.
Every morning the sun would begin to shine and so would we.
It was a Tuesday morning when we finally talked about what had happened the past few years, and why it happened.
I was stupid you said and I disagreed. I was just in a bad place, but it inspired ‘Paper Planes’ so I guess it wasn’t all bad.
I smiled and nodded in agreement. Your book was well worth it.
We wont make the same mistakes this time, Em you promised. I could see the sincerity in your eyes and I couldn’t help but let myself believe you. There was something about the fresh summertime air that made it seem more believable.
