Katelyn
After taking a quick shower and blow drying my hair to curl it I start to lay out different outfits to chose from. I have no clue where it is he wants me to drive to so I have no idea what I should wear.
"You should call him and ask what to wear." My wolf says "I am surprised that you didn't ask him when he called."
"We have never really been on a date so I am just too excited to even think about clothing to wear. But you are right I should call him but at the same time he is probably busy since he asked me to drive myself there." I answer her.
I decide on a summer dress, green of chores, with short black boots. Taking my median sized purse I place a change of clothing just in case my dress is over the top of where ever it is I am going. Looking down at my watch reading the clock as 5:30. Max told me to meet him by 7 so I should be on time. Taking out my phone and copying the address into google maps it says my destination is over an hour and 20 minutes away. That is really far for around here and I looks like It's out past the rural area and leads out towards the water. Where the heck are we going Max.
Taking my keys and one of Sophia's baby bags out of my room just in case Max forgot to bring one I head out to my car and pack up my stuff. I really don't want to drive for over an hour by myself but it's not like I have any choice in the matter. Stepping into my jeep and starting the engine I perpar myself for the long and lonely drive ahead for me.
"in 2.1 miles you will arrive at you detestation." The GPS on my phone tells me as I look down the long dirt road with forest of trees aliening themselves on either side.
"Well this doesn't look creepy at all" I say out load to myself, and well my wolf of chorus. All the pot wholes and bends in the road forces my speed to a halt, and three to four minute drive has turned into a ten minute drive. "I just want to get there already!" and as if my words were answered I start to see a small wooden cabin in the distance. What looks like to be Christmas lights (not the colorful just the normal white) along the trees.
"Where are we?" My wolf asks me only I have no answer for her, since I have no idea where we are either. I pull into the drive way and put my jeep in park. Now that I think about it how in the world did Max get himself out here? Wait is he even here yet?
With the baby bag in hand I step out of my jeep and head towards the front door of the cabin. Walking up to the door about to knock the door swings open and standing in front of me is Max. He stands there wearing a white button up shirt and dress paints. As I look at him in amazement I notice one other important thing.
"Your cast is off." Dropping the baby bag I throw my arms around him. "I am so glad!" I hear him chuckle at my words.
"It's nice to see you too." He escapes from my hug picking up the baby bag in the process. "Come on in." I follow him into the cabin as he leads me to what looks to be the living room where he has a fire going. Sophia sits in her play pen with her toys happy as can be.
"What is this place?" I ask him looking around taking in the beautiful cabin.
"It's my grandmother's cabin, well now the family cabin. We did come here every summer but when my mom had more kids we really didn't have the time to come here any more." He leads me over to the couch as has me sit down.
"This place is amazing." He smiles happily at me, yet before he could say another word a timer goes off and he takes off to what I assume is the kitchen. "Are you cooking dinner?"
"Yes!" He yells from the other room. I hear dishes clinking together and what sounds like an oven being opened.
"He is really going all out isn't he." I tell my wolf.
"I really like it." I laugh out loud a little at her.
"Okay." Max comes walking out holding a wash cloth in his hands as he makes in way in front of me. "Are you hungry?"
"Yes in all honesty I am starving, that was a long drive and I haven't really eaten much." He throws the cloth over his shoulder and takes Sophia out of her crib and into his arms.
"Well I am glad, I made plenty and I really hope you like it." Sitting down at the wooded table with a large amount of different foods, everything looking amazing.
"You really did not have to go to all this trouble." After placing Sophia in to her high chair he pulls out my own seat for me. "Why thank you Sir."
"You are welcome my lady, and I did have to do this for you, after all that you have done for me and after all that we have been throw making you dinner is the least I can do." He takes his seat across from me at the table. All I can do is stair at him, I have put him throw hell the past weeks. It just makes me hate myself, all I want is to be with him but all I do is hurt him.
"You are far too good to me." Max stays silent as he looks down at the table of food that he made.
"I hate myself." What? Max sits in his chair with his hands in his lap. His eyes not leaving the table as he does everything he can to not look at me.
"What would you-"
"Because all I do is dought myself, act all weak and get in the way." He says cutting me off. "I keep bringing up the same problems and insecurities that I have about myself."
"I understand." He finally looks up from the table, his eyes meet mine and all I can do is smile. "You are human and I am a wolf we are different but we both have souls who are destian to be together. You are still scared that when the time comes you won't be able to protect yourself and maybe even me. Yet those things don't matter. All that matters is that we try to make this work, you clearly care for me as I care for you isn't that enough?"
"I just hate that I keep thinking like this." I can't help but smile at him.
"Lets not talk about that, lets just have a normal conversation as if we were both human. So how was your day?"
