Chapter 29

This chapter is for my real life Mexican friend who Beth's is based off on. (and yes I really do call her Mexican and she calls me Canadian)

Beth

"Hey Beth can you come with me a moment. I need to tell you something."  The look on Katelyn's face not only worried me but looked serious and scared at the same time.

"Sure." I make my way over to her as she leads us out of the gym and into one of the class rooms. Since we are all wolfs with amazing hearing all the rooms are sound proof, since Katelyn wants to talk in here it must be not only important but she doesn't want anyone else to know. "Is everything okay?" She shuts the door before answering

"Yes and no. I guess it depends on how you look at it." She pulls herself up onto the the teachers desk and I do the same but with a students. 

"Is it bad?" Her head hung low as she looked towards the floor with such a depressed look written all over her face.

"Again depends on how you look at it. To me its the best thing that ever happened to me, but also the worst." She brushes her bands out from her face tucking it behind her ear as she sighs.

"You know you can tell me anything, I'm your best friend remember." A small smile breaks throw her face but quickly fades.

"You are going to be mad at me that I didn't tell you sooner." 

"Just tell me already women! You can't turn back now its too late." Katelyn's head lifts up, her eyes stair directly at me, taking a deep breath she mutters,

"Ifoundmymate." She said it so quickly yet at the same time so soft that I almost didn't hear her.

"Did you just say what I think you just said?" She nods slightly at me. I can't stop the huge smile that I feel forming on my face, jumping off the desk I take her hands in my. "Why the hell did you wait to tell me? who is it? When did you find out?" Like a ton of bricks hit me on the head my last question comes to mind. "What about Max?" With that she looks away from me once again, gazing to the floor.

"That's why this is so hard, My mate is Max Beth. I have a human for a Mate."

"Beth! Beth!" My eyes flash open to a spinning room and a very worried Katelyn looming over me.

"What happened?" Katelyn sighs as she helps me sit up right.

"You kind of passed out..." 

"Well I had the craziest passing out dream, you took me into one of the classes rooms and you told me that Max was your mate and-" You know that worried, you just got in trouble look that people get, where the person makes a funny face and tries to pretend that they didn't hear what was said. Well that is exactly the look that Katelyn is giving me right now. "So it wasn't a crazy pass out dream." She shakes her head no. "Katelyn how is that even possible, a human male being someones mate, that's unheard of."

"I know that's why I haven't told anyone about my mate, about Max and Max being my mate isn't the only thing that's wired that has been going on lately." I glare at her to continue before I go crazy on her. "Well my birthday I found out that Max was my mate, you have no idea how happy I was/am to have the mate that I always wanted and not James, sorry, and I finally felt like everything was going right. Than Keven's mate ended being your younger brother Aaron and he left and my parents have been trying to get me to mate with other Alpha's children. For some crazy reason they gave me the Alpha title before I found my mate." She air quote found her mate for she knew that she couldn't tell her parents.

"But everyone in the pack hates humans, they think that they are week and helpless, most importantly mostly everyone hates Max. How am I going to tell my pack that their Alpha is a human. Not to mention there is this strange car following Max and I almost everywhere we go, we both found that we are missing memories from when we were kids and Paige is trying to take Max from me, I know she is here because of my parents but she also her for herself. Beth... What am I going to do." As she looks up from the floor I see tears starting to roll down her cheeks falling onto her lap.

"Look Katelyn, no one can tell you what to do, Max is your mate the moon goddess made it that way for a reason. All the problems that are going on you'll get throw it you always do. About that car and Paige don't worry about it, I'll do my work and take care of that for you. Look I am your best friend and I am going to do all in my power to help you, if I hear one person from this pack say anything about Max I'll kick their a-"

"Beth." She half smiles at me throw her tear stained face.

"What I'm just saying that they will get what they deserve. Now leave all this mystery to me, since I am not the one who has their first date with their mate tonight." Suddenly I feel my whole body being crushed in a bear hug causing me to laugh. "Go on now and get ready I promise I will take care of this."

"Thanks Beth you have no Idea how much this means to me." Katelyn looks at her phone for the time and  mumbling a curse word or two under her breath before racing out of the school to get ready for her date. Now I have some out of school home work to do, find out who is following Katelyn, find out what Paige is up to, look into lost memories, and see what the heck it means for a female wolf to have a male human as a mate.
