Katelyn

The last thing I want to do is let Paige help with the dance. But Beth is right; if I let her help I'll be able to keep an eye on her and find out what she's up to. There is no way in hell she is taking my Max away from me.

Right now Beth and I are trying to get a plan made for the setup of the gym. We want the spring dance to be the best one the school has ever had.

Beth slams her hands on the table in front of us dramatically and says, "So, are we going to have enough room and money for all of this?" She looks down at the table full of layouts, color schemes, and food appetizers. "Because this is a lot of stuff for just one dance." She plops down on a chair and fans herself.

I roll my eyes teasingly. "Beth, you already know we have the funds...but as for the space," I raise my arms to demonstrate we only have the dingy gym to work with, "We're lacking in that department."

She nods and whips out a notepad and pen, writing down what I'm saying. I chuckle.

I walk with my hands behind my back, and pace in front of her. "We need to plan the best dance this school has ever seen." I pause for effect. "Which, with the school's history, won't be that hard. This will be the first year the school has had a new theme in 20 years."

She bursts out laughing. "Katelyn, you weren't even there to experience those horrendous 20 years of same decorations."

I stand up straighter. "My wolf was." I say mysteriously.

"All of them?" She arches an eyebrow.

"That's for me to know, and for you to not find out." I tease.

She opens her mouth to say something, most likely to tell me off when we both cringe at the person that approaches.

"Hello Beth!" calls an ugly girly man sounding voice. Then I realized I am insulting feminine guys whose voices are so totally not ugly.

Paige waddled her way over to us, walking like a penguin with 5 inch heels on. She's wearing a tight pink mini dress-how the principal didn't say anything is beyond me-and way too much makeup. She looks like a traffic cone, her skin a florescent orange. Okay, maybe an exaggeration, but still. Not to mention that awful yellow eyeshadow that was meant to be gold.

"Oh and...I'm sorry but what's your name again?" She flashes me a stupid looking grin and tilts her head to the side trying to act all innocent and cute. Not working, bitch.

"It's Katelyn." From the corner of my eye I see Beth giving me her 'just be nice' look. I freaking hate the look. "And why are you here, no one is supposed to be here until after school." I struggle to keep my voice amiable.

She twirls her finger around her extensions and says, "Oh, I thought I could help with the planning and all. I'm really good at making a room look nice." I guess she meant that she herself would make a room look nice. She holds up 4 inch binder full of papers. "These are all my ideas."

"Look Paige, "I start, "this part of the job is mine and Beth's. We already have a theme and plan set up of the room. Your job along with anyone else, who plans on helping, is setting up the design that Beth and I came up with. You have no say whatsoever with what the dance is going to look like. So please take your binder of ideas and go. You aren't need here at this time."
