In the middle of talking to Beth on a plan about Paige and what we should do my phone rang and find that it was my loving mate Max, I love the song that I set up as his wring tone its call "A Drop In The Ocean" and it is such a beautiful songs, its our song now.
"Hold on once second Beth that's Max calling." She gives me smile before pushing on my arm and walking over to the other girls to talk about the dance.
"Hey Max, what's up?" I ask him.
"I was just calling to check in on my number one girl." Awwww he is so freaken sweet.
"Well she is doing fine, may I ask how my one and only man is doing?"
"Wonderful actually, I have a question?"
"Well I may have an answer."
"Would you like to go out to dinner tonight?" He asks "It will be just you and me," I hear Sophia let out a playful cry before Max continues "and we can't forget about Sophia."
"It sounds perfect. Where to?"
"Its a surprise but I need you to get yourself there, it is hard to find so I will text you the address." He tells me.
"Okay that is fine with me, you are the only person who I don't mind trying to give me a surprise." I tell him. I feel a smile thought the phone, I know that's wired but I always can tell when Max smiles call it the mate bond or just a sixth sense.
"Be there by seven if you can Love. I love you."
"I love you too handsome. I'll see you at seven." With that I wanted from him to hung up first just because its something I always do unless I don't have the time too.
"Awww, somebody has a date!" I glace over at Beth with her huge grin on her face. "So where are you too going?"
"I don't know, he said that he'll text me the address so I can meet him there. I guess he doesn't want us to drive there together or me going on my own is part of the surprise." I tell her.
"Either way its cute, you too haven't gone out on a date since he got hurt by my brother right?" My mind flashes to that night, seeing Max beaten and bloody it's a night that I would rather forget.
"Yes if you count the dinner with him family than yes that was our first unofficial date. We have never been out on an actually date so this is going to be something new and a much needed distraction. I should be almost done with the list you gave me so I'll leave soon tog get ready since its 2:28 now."
"Hey Katelyn!" One of the members of the dance commit calls. I see that its the one and only Jess, she came to be part of my pack when she lost her family in a rouge attack, her pack blamed her for all of the destruction and they kicked her out. "I need your answer on where we are setting up the food tables and where are we going to be ordering the food from."
"I'll be right over Jess." Turning my attention back to Beth she just shakes her head. "What can I say, my job is never done." I race over to Jess and see the plan that she drew up on paper.
"I was thinking of placing them at the far left here and the right, we can leave the DJ in the center. Than we have plan two where we set up the DJ off the side left and have all the food towards the right." She explains using such well drawn plans.
"I like the fist plan better just because it will look better, it might not be the best for the people dancing but at least we can give the DJ more room this year, the last thing we need is the mess that happened last time." I tell her.
"Yeah that freshmen throw up all over the DJ stuff after he pushed him off in the middle of the set and tried to take over. It was not a pretty year and didn't we have to pay the DJ extra?" She asks.
"Yes because some of his things got damaged in the process." I tell her, "This year you are in charge of the food ordering, I don't want the dancer getting sick, James decided it would be cool to have sushi and lets just say a lot of people went home and didn't come back to school for a week." We have had so many problems with the dances I just hope this one goes as planed from once.
"Thanks Luna, I'll get to work on that right away." Jess looks down at the plans with a smile on her face. Its been a long road for Jess but I am so glad that she is apart of this pack, she went throw so much to get to where she is today. I just can't wait for her to find her mate and get the happily ever after she deserves.
"I am going to leave you and Beth in charge so if you have any more questions feel free to ask Beth I need to leave and get ready for my date." She smiles brightly and me and nudges my shoulder
"Go get is Luna who's the luck wolf? Or wait is it with Max?" Her smile fads as she looks at the ground.
"What is it Jess?"
"I don't know if its my place to say Luna... Its just... How do you think your mate will feel when he finds that you are dating a human?" I really need to tell my pack that Max is my mate so things like this would stop happening but I can't that will just put his life in danger.
"It's fine Jess I can promise you that, so please don't worry." I tell her, she gives me a small smile before nodding her head.
"I understand Luna, have fun tonight." Making my way back over to Beth I can tell that she is thinking the same thing that Jess is.
"Hey Beth can you come with me a moment. I need to tell you something."
