Vic's POV

_____

We were all on the bus, waiting for Evie to show up. I kept biting my lip nervously. Jaime would notice and try to calm me. But nothing worked. I was nervous, eager and really upset, all at the same time. The knock on the bus door made me pale and want to throw up. I hadn't physically seen Evie in over a year, I had no idea what was actually going on with her.

I had wondered why now she'd be waltzing into my life. Yes, I knew at some point I'd have to man up and meet my son, but as Tony had put it, why now?

Jaime tapped my shoulder, bringing me back to reality. Slowly, I stood and went to the door. I opened to be met with a brunette with bright pink fringe and highlights, her skin tan and her eyes a dark blue. She smiled up at me and picked up the baby that had sat in the stroller next to her.

"Hey, Vic, how ya been?" Evie asked me. She looked a lot different from when I'd last seen her.

"Good, good. Let me help you with all that." I stepped down the bus' steps to grab two of her bags.

"Thanks. Do the guys know that I'm coming?" She asked me.

"Yeah, they know." I told her. I stepped back onto the bus, as all three guys' eyes met mine. "So, uh. She's outside." I told them sheepishly. Mike stood and went outside to meet her. Silently I prayed that he wouldn't say anything cringe-worthy. I placed Evie's bags in the spare bunk.

"Hey, you okay about all of this?"Jaime asked me as I turned to go help get all the baby stuff. I nodded to him.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I told him. He frowned at me. "Why're you giving me that look?"

"Because you're lying to me." He said simply. "I thought that you trust me."

"I can. It's nothing, okay? We can talk later." I muttered as I walked past him. There was no reason to make him worry, mostly because it really was nothing.

___

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck it all. Evie was handing me River, and it was probably the first time I'd actually held a baby all on my own. I managed to not drop him, but it freaked me out when he moved. It freaked me out even more to realize that he was mine.

I'd given him part of me, and there was no going back. It was weird staring into his eyes as he did the same back to me. When he yawned, I couldn't help but smile a little bit.

"Aw, you two are too cute." Evie gushed from the other side of the front lounge. I felt myself flush as everyone looked to me and River. I saw Jaime smile to himself.

"Does Mamá or Papá know yet?" Mike asked me quietly. He'd been sitting next to me. I shook my head.

"No, I'm beyond scared to tell them." I admitted to him.

"I'd be too, I guess. You know how they reacted when you told them about you and Jaime." Mike said to me. He was right. They accepted my sexuality and my relationship, but it took them a while to really come to terms with it. They probably wouldn't take too kindly to me not telling them I had a son.

"Yeah, they're expecting neitos only from you." I joked weakly. Mike chuckled a little.

"Yeah, they'll be surprised. But no matter what, I got your back, Vic." He patted me on the shoulder and stood from the couch. I watched him go over to Evie and Tony and say something to make them all laugh. I was glad I had the brother I did. He was the first one to support me in everything, no matter what. When I snuck out, he snuck me back in. When I drank underage, he covered for me. He was the first one I told about my being gay, and he accepted me a hundred percent. We were hermanos, and nothing could ever change that.
