Two weeks later I'm at school and I see Emily and Lana engrossed in conversation at lunchtime I walk over sitting on our table.

"Chatting about anything interesting?" I asked them both.

"Discussing ideas for the Valentine's Day dance that's coming up" Lana informed me.

I sigh out knowing that there was another dance that id more than likely miss or have to fake date again.

"Yeah I'm organizing it" Emily said opening her orange juice "I'm not sure of a theme for it"

I sit looking at my bottle of water looking up seeing Jon walking through the cafeteria, I watch him queue jump grabbing a bottle of water paying before walking back through, he notices me watching him as he leaves.

I needed a dance that I could be with Jon at but not draw attention to the fact that I'm with my teacher.

"How about a valentines masquerade ball?" I suggested looking at Emily.

"Ooo I love it" Lana smiled at Emily.

"Yeah that could work" Emily said getting up "I'm going to go work on that now"

Emily leaves the cafeteria leaving me with Lana.

"So you think you can pull of the masquerade ball so you can go with Jon." Lana asked

"Not to go with Jon no, just to be able to just talk to him there without suspicion would be good"

Two weeks later I'm walking through the corridor of the school seeing posters everywhere advertising the masquerade ball

"So when do you wanna go shopping?" Lana asked me as we leave school.

"Shopping for what?" I asked

"Dresses for the ball of course" Lana reminded me pointing to the poster as we past it.

"I'm skint, I will need to get my dad to give me the cash"

"Think he will?" Lana asked me.

"Right now I doubt it. Me and him are barely talking to each other. It's awful."

"Why don't you just tell him about Jon? Your eighteen your an adult now"

"He will go crazy Lana. I can't put Jon in that position. When I've graduated then I will come clean that We'er together and make out it just happened, all should be good"

"You hope" Lana said walking to her car "give me a ring about dress shopping"

I nod smiling getting in my car heading to my dads work hoping that he will give me the cash for a new dress.

I pull up at my dads work seeing him closing the hood of a car, I get out walking over smiling at him as he wiped his hands on a rag

"Everything okay princess?" He said leaning on the car

"Yeah why wouldn't it be?" I asked him.

"Well you haven't stopped by to see me at work in ages" my dad pointed out.

"Okay you got me" I said putting my hands in the air slightly "I need money"

"How much?" He asked.

"Enough to buy a new dress for the Valentine's Day dance at school which is in three days time"

My dad pulls his wallet out handing me some cash, I smile at him putting it in my handbag
"Thank you" I smiled "would hug ya but you are dirty"

"One hug won't hurt" he said stepping forward grabbing me, I curl up as he jokingly rubs himself over me wiping his hands on my face he laughs jokingly.

"Oh princess you have something on your face" he laughed, I open my bag pulling out my mirror seeing a black mark on my face

"I'm going to go wash" I said putting my bag on the car good.

I come back five minutes later hearing my dad on his motorcycle I see his overalls on the floor.

I look at him in confusion and he looked pissed off, I walk over seeing my phone next to my bag which was open on a text from Jon

'Leaving school in ten babe, can you meet at mine? Missing you"

I hear my dad speed off and I run out the garage seeing him disappear in the distance.

I stand looking at my phone realizing that my dad knows.
