After the bell

Twenty nine

Monday comes around and I was actually not looking forward to school, I never used to like school but now going I started to enjoy it as I get to see Jon, but today I know I'm going to get called to the principals office about what happened at the Halloween party.

The day goes by and I still hadn't got called into the principals office, last lesson comes which was English with Jon.

I'm sitting listening to Jon talking about the next essay that in wanted us to do when the I freeze
"Can Peyton Reedus please come to the principals office" the woman's voice said over the intercom

I sit staring nervously at Jon who stands there staring at me, I feel eyes on me from the whole classroom.
I get up from my desk leaving my stuff on my desk walking out the classroom heading to the principals office.

I arrive at his office walking to the woman who was at a desk.
"Hi I'm Peyton Reedus the principal wants to see me"

"Take a seat I will let him know your here" she said picking up the phone.

I sit down on a chair outside the principals office waiting for him to call me in.

A few minutes later the door opens and I look to the side looking up.
"Peyton?" The principal asked looking down at me I nod my head "come on in"

I get up walking into his office and he closes the door behind me.
"Take a seat" Mr Lincoln said holding his hand out to the to chairs in front of his desk.

I walk over sitting down feeling extremely nervous but I tried not to show it, at the end of the day I've done nothing wrong, well I had been for weeks now by being in a sexual relationship with my teacher but the principal didn't know that.

"So Peyton your here about what happened at the Halloween dance Friday night, the situation that involved you that ended up with one of my staff members getting hurt"

"I had nothing to do with Mr Bernthal getting hurt" I informed Mr Lincoln.

"I never said you did. You was there when it happened and I want to find out who ever was behind the assault to I can take proper action against them"

"I'm not sure I can be of any help sir" I said hearing the bell go knowing it was the end of school.

"Well Peyton you was the one who had closest contact with them, you must of seen something?"

"No I didn't sir, I was a screaming wreck. Whoever had me pinned was wearing a mask"

"Mr Bernthal said you was in that part of the school on the phone, you didn't see anything before hand?"

"No sir, it was just me and J and Mr Bernthal" I sit panicking hoping the Mr Lincoln didn't pick up on anything I wipe my sweaty hands on my jeans.

"Okay, so where did the person dressed up as a clown appear from?" Mr Lincoln asked me.

I rest my head in my hands shaking my head trying to think back but I honestly didn't know the whole walk back I was to busy flirting and joking around with Jon to even remember.

"Sir I don't know, I turned around looking down, I think they came from the classroom on the right, that direction anyway."

I watch Mr Lincoln write down what I was telling him "okay that should be it Miss Reedus, I shouldn't need to see you again"

I get up walking out his office feeling sick with nerves, I can't believe I nearly screwed up by nearly saying Jon.

I arrive back at Jon's classroom walking in seeing Jon sitting on his desk talking to a flirting Miss Butler, she was standing awfully close to him resting her hand on his leg.

I stand looking them both over and they way I was feeling right now after my extremely stressful chat with the principal, if Jon was any normal guy I was dating I'd more than likely go over grab the bitch but I couldn't do that.

"Sorry just come for my bag. I will be out your hair in two seconds" I stated walking over picking it up thankfully someone had packed up all my stuff.

I grab it turning avoiding eye contact with the both of them walking out the room shutting the door rather hard behind me walking down the corridor holding in the tears that was dying to fall.
