Sixty one

It's Monday and I was going back to school today and it was the first time I had actually looked forward to it since Jon had left.

I hear a knock on the front door I pick up my bag knowing it would be Lana as we wanted to talk over how we going to bring all this to an end.

I had wanted to talk about it sooner but Lana and Jon had both put a stop to it as they didn't want me to get 'to overexcited' apparently.

I jog downstairs opening the front door instantly smiling it wasn't Lana it was Jon.

I pull him inside kissing him "what are you doing here?" I asked him.

"Taking you to school" he smiled kissing me "unless you wanna pass for today" he winked.

"I'd love to but I can't today, I'm not going because I want to sit in class, I'm going to watch and find out what I can find on Miss Butler"

"You sure this is the best way?" Jon asked me I nod my head at him.

"It might seem stupid but that woman, my stepdad tried to destroy our lives, I'm not taking that lightly" I told him.

"I just don't want you getting into trouble or worse" Jon replied

I cupped Jon's face with my hands kissing him "don't worry bout me I will be fine baby"

I stand kissing Jon when someone clears there throat I pull away seeing my dad walking down stairs but not alone.

"Morning" my dad said walking our way showing his guest to the door

"Hello there Peyton" the woman said I squinted my eyes wondering who she was "Jon" she smiled greeting him it then clicked it was the nurse

"Oh my I'm sorry I didn't recognize you with out the blue nurse outfit" I said as I gesture the clothes "I didn't even know you was here last night"

"When Debi and I got back you was asleep on the couch" My dad said to me.

"Oh okay well it was nice to see you again" I said opening the door for her seeing Lana was about to knock she moves to the side letting Debi walk past with my dad who sees her out.

"Another of you dads notches I guess?" Lana said as I walk out onto the porch.

"Yeah but I'm hoping not, she seems different hoping he takes it slow, also she could come in handy with the pregnancy considering she's a nurse"

"Come lets get you both to school" Jon suggested bringing me and Lana out of our staring as we watched my dad with his new lady friend.

"So how are you taking us to school then? as your not allowed to step into the school" Lana asked Jon as we walk to Jon's car.

"Lana I'm dropping you outside the school not escorting you to your locker" Jon explained causing me to laugh as we reach the car.

"So what you going to be doing for the rest of the day?" I asked him.

"Well I'm going tv shopping" Jon replied causing me to look up at him stopping myself getting in the car, I look to Lana who looks wide eyed.

"Oh whys that?" I questioned him pretending I didn't know why, but what shocked me more was that Jon was staying back here in Rosemill.

"Well someone smashed up my place" Jon said looking at me.

"Oh really" I said getting into the car closing the door Jon and Lana get in and I look at Jon who stares at me I wanted to deny all knowledge but I couldn't "I'm sorry but I broke down, I will replace the telly and anything else"

"Forget it you can make it up to me another way" Jon smirked.

"Yeah when?" I asked him smiling at him biting down on my lip, Jon leans forward but Lana clears her throat from the back of the car.

"We're going to be late" Lana said in a huff, I smile at Jon and he turns starting the car.

We arrive at school as soon as Jon pulls up all eyes turned there attention to the us, Lana gets out closing the door leaning on the car waiting for me.

"You sure you ready for school?" Jon asked me I nod my head at him.

"Yeah I need to be here" I said looking around at everyone causally watching us.

"I get why, just don't want you over doing it" He said resting his hand on my stomach I turn my attention back to him.

"I will be alright and so will the baby" I informed him.

"I know, I will pick you up after school" I nod my head at him leaning in kissing him giving everyone a show that was watching us.

I get out the car closing the door standing next to Lana seeing everyone looking at me, wolf whistles erupted with some sniggering.
"Looking good Peyton" someone shouts out as Lana and I walk past everyone.

"You okay?" Lana asked me as I carry on walking ignoring everyone.

"Yeah course I am, why wouldn't I be?" I asked her "look I'm here for one reason one reason only, I don't care what anyone thinks, so can we just concentrate on the task at hand"

"Sure, let's get to work" Lana nodded linking arms with me.
