Calum's POV

After many hours of Luke pulling Grace around the town and me chasing after them, we finally decided to get something to eat. We stopped at this little burger place, after Grace had said that she could eat a cow.

"These burgers are great!" Luke exclaimed. He had ketchup all over his face and was grinning like a crazy person. He turned his head over to Grace, probably to start flirting with her or something.

"Oh Luke, here um let me get that for you." Grace picked up a napkin from the table and brought it up to Luke's face, wiping off all the ketchup. If this wasn't my best friend and I guess I consider Grace a friend, then I would probably think of this as cute, but it's actually disgusting.

"oh uh thanks." Luke said as he turned to face away from Grace, probably to hide his flushed expression.

"Well, I'm full now, and I think I'm going to use the bathroom so I can go puke." I stated as I got up from the table, shuddering from udder disgust. This entire day I have been basically third wheeling, and I hate it. Luke has been all over Grace. They just met like four hours ago. I've known Grace since we were kids, I mean so did Luke but they never talked. Why do I even care that Luke is spending time with Grace? That's right I don't.

After I did my business and washed my hands, I returned to the table, only to find that there was no one there.

"What the fuck?" I asked to no one in particular. I noticed a note on the table with Luke's handwriting and a few dollars next to it. The note read:

"Dear Calum, Grace and I have decided to go do some stuff on our own, I'll drop her off back at her house around 10:00 pm.
Luke and Grace"

"Wow." I said with disappointment. I don't know why I wasn't expecting this. Luke is my best friend, I know what he's like, and this is is definitely something that Luke would do.

I paid the rest of the check with the money that Luke gave me, which was only 5 bucks, and started to make my way back to Grace's house. I'm not just mad at Luke, I'm also mad at Grace for going with him. Luke wasn't the only one who wanted to spend time with her. This may sound selfish but Grace is my friend, not Luke's. Whatever, I don't care. Or do I?
